Just 5 minutes’ walk from Turangi town centre, Creel Lodge is a 4.5-star Qualmark rated motel offering self-contained suites with a private patio and BBQ facilities. A wonderful, serene, and very practical place to stay. As well as being quiet (with some interesting bird calls audible in the early morning) and comfortable, it had a very usable kitchen, good wifi, easy parking, helpful staff/owners, great shower (and super-hot), laundry facilities, and was only a short (10min) walk to town.

One Burgess Hill offers a choice of 15 self-contained units overlooking the stunning Waiwhakaiho River and native landscape. Fabulous apartment with fantastic views of the river (especially from the bedroom) Quiet and secluded location. Stringly recommend a night or two here, Very convenient for New Plymouth

Set on a large country estate with sweeping gardens and panoramic views of the Wairarapa wine-growing region, Parehua Resort features an open-air bar and fine dining restaurant. Such fantastic rooms, lovely outlook. Very close to our favourite vineyard. We ate at the restaurant one night, which was a lovely meal. So easy to have a lovely breakfast provided on site. Pool looked fantastic, but unfortunately we couldn't use it due to covid restrictions.

Location was perfect for us. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast being brought to the room by Santani at our requested time was a real treat. Santani made us feel almost like family.

Good location close to Waihi Beach town and shops. Short drive to beach. Lovely shaded seated area to sit outside on a hot January day. Very helpful and lovely hosts. Will definitely stay here again when we come down to Waihi Beach.

Allison and Ron were such kind and lovely hosts. The space was very comfortable with two couches, a gas fire place which I loved sitting next to and reading a book, and a nice dining area. The bed and bathroom were great as well. It was a short trip to the national park for the alpine crossing. They very kindly gave me the fixings to make sandwiches for my hike the next day. If you're in this area, I highly recommend staying here.

I would recommend Ohope Beach to every Traveler looking for somewhere to stay. Beautiful beach, Fabulous Cafes and Restaurants, Grocery Stores and a couple of pretty Little Boutique and Gift shops if your looking for that special little something.
