Although we arrived the hotel early in the morning, the staff allowed us to do early check-in. After using a night bus, this is very thankful. The hotel was traditional structure in Safranbolu and very clean and cozy.

And the host, Sevgi Hanim, is the heart of this mansion. She is such a lovely person, our stay was so much more special because of her. Also, the delicious Turkish breakfast that she prepared every morning kept me full until dinner. We miss her warm smile already! Some other things to note: the rooms are very clean and well maintained. Depending on which room you get, you might have to share a bathroom. But it is not a problem at all. The mansion is located on a quiet street, yet is is within walking distance to a lot of the major sites in Safranbolu. Markets, eateries, they are within easy reach. We were lucky to spend 3 nights here in October, soaking in the historical atmosphere of Safranbolu. If I ever get a chance to visit this beautiful town again, I know where to stay.
