The beds were comfortable and they offer samples of shampoo and lotion. The location was great as a centre point to go for hiking. The building looks rough but the rooms are impeccable. Not close to the main town but accessible.

super friendly owner, the cottage was large, super clean and very cozy. They have animals on their farm plus a small pond where you can use a canoe. We ordered dinner beforehand and enjoyed a delicious meal in our cottage.

The gateway to Wells Grey Park, Clearwater is a great base camp to explore the numerous waterfalls, river rafting adventures, fishing spots and hiking/biking in the surrounding area. The people have always been friendly and welcoming with my countless visits and the scenery spectacular. Helmcken Falls is a major highlight in Wells Grey Park. Check in at the visitor center to really get a grasp of everything this place has to offer! The main town has good amenities for food, groceries, gas and more. Definitely worth a visit.

Waterfalls in nearby Regional Park ( I think there were 4 of them to see. All were beautiful on their own. Only one needed like 1-hour + hike, rest were closer to the road. Can be seen in half a day easily, before you need to continue driving East or West.

Wells Gray Provincial Park.
Wells Gray Provincial Park. Beautiful scenery full of gorgeous waterfalls, lakes, rivers and creeks. We had breakfast in the Blue Grouse Inn where we stayed and we dined out in Clearwater for our other meals. This Inn is close to most of the key waterfalls. Clearwater is very easy to get around by car. There are numerous activities like rafting, canoeing, etc that you can do. Information centre is very helpful. We even went to my first ever rodeo in nearby Barriere.

Clearwater has everything you need along the #5: groceries,...
Clearwater has everything you need along the #5: groceries, gas , a few restaurants but is not the reason to go here. Go for the hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting and camping in Wells Gray Park and Myrtle Lake but be prepared for hot weather along with mosquitoes and black flies in the summer. Dutch Lake is beautiful warm swimming lake just off the #5 with a lovely sand and grassy public beach with wharf and swings for young children.
We booked it a s a motel with a cheaper price.
For us, it was a perfect deal.
From the outside it looked like a motel, but the room was completely new and had hotel quality.
I assume that is the reason why it is upgraded from motel to hotel, now.
Also, the support from the reception was great.
The location is also perfect, close to the highway but still calm and also not far from the park.
Beautiful place, the owner is very nice and makes you feel at home. I was only passing through so didn't have much time in the area, but Wells Gray Provincial Park is very close and looks gorgeous from what I have seen, definitely check out Dawson Falls and Helmcken Falls. If you're passing through Clearwater definitely stay at Hummingbird B&B!
The Rusty Antler is a wonderful little cabin, located near the entrance to the Wells Grey Park. We really felt comfortable. The host Susan is friendly, welcoming, communicative - she gave us many information. The guests can use her BBQ. Without any restriction we can recommend this accommodation.
The location is convenient- not far from the highway and not too close. There’s a nice little food truck that’s part of the motel. The whole complex is pet friendly, which is a bonus. This is definitely a family oriented place with a public beach right beside it. It’s bustling and busy.
Room was very clean and bed was comfortable enough for a one night stay. I liked that our rooms were accessible through a separate rear door so we could unload our luggage straight from the car. Value for money is good since this hotel isn't very expensive.
It’s beautifully located near a lake which feels like private use. The resort offers useage of kayaks and rowing boats for free which was really great. It has a nice playground and a nice eating area with a bbq. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
Clean, roomy and comfortable. I stayed here a few months back and had left a purse with cash behind. I finally returned after several weeks to see I I had by chance left it at this hotel. The purse and ALL the cash had been kept safe. Thank you!
We arrived at the property to find that the room we booked was a double only there was no sofa bed. We needed to bed and they were unable to offer what we had booked. The owner gave us a refund and we went to find alternative accommodation
A simple motel for a one night stay in town. A little old/out dated decor, but if all you need is a clean room, bed & nothing fancy, then it was perfectly fine! I would stay here again if staying in Clearwater. Staff were also nice!
Nice quiet location, peaceful forested well-kept grounds. Very attentive and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable, and well-stocked cabin. Wonderful accommodations in a lovely setting.
Perfect stay in Clearwater! We really enjoyed our stay with Doris and she learned us so much about the Canadian history. Super authentic and warm host. Would recommend to everyone!
