Really nice "cabin" which was big for two people. The bathroom was really nice and spacious. The bedroom had a nice large and comfortable bed. In front of the window is a mosquito screen which was very helpful. We got eat alive anyway though but probably more because we had the porch door open for some time. Since it was raining we did not use the patio but it looked nice. We stayed only one night as we had a course at IENA, which is only 8-10min drive away. Parking was right in front of the cabin and the handover of the key was super easy (they send you a code which you put into a key box beside the door).

Newly renovated in 2014, Youth Hostel Avenches is a 15-minute walk from the Avenches train station. It features a large garden with barbecue facilities and table tennis and pétanque options.
