Hotel room was clean.
Hotel room was clean. Nice little balcony but could only use it to dry our clothes. Our room was western exposure and became extremely hot. Unbearable . I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. Hotel was basically empty and they could have been thoughtful enough to put us on Northern or Eastern exposure. If I had know I would have asked for the western or eastern side.

The owner and his wife were extremely kind and helpful in sorting out our onward journey. Castrojeriz is a delightful, ancient village - lots of charm and a warm welcome for visitors. Large grounds behind the hotel, there is a restaurant, which I did not try but the menu sounded quite interesting. They have a self serve mini snacks, wine and beer alcove. They have a restaurant on the premises, delicious food, and we were able to get coffee and pastries early the next morning so that we could start the Camino early. Very nice and efficient staff.
