This hostal/hotel is situated just a short drive from the motorway and consists of a large restaurant on the ground floor with hotel rooms on the upper floor. There is parking all around the restaurant and also in the quiet street behind. The restaurant is excellent with a great menu of the day selection at a very reasonable price. You can hear aircraft taking off from Girona airport, but it is not particularly disturbing. The staff are very helpful and put our freezer blocks in their freezer for us.
Salles Hotel Aeroport de Girona offers a free shuttle service to Girona-Costa Brava Airport, 800 metres away. It has a large, free spa with a swimming pool and hot tub.

Our stay at the Salles hotel was perfect from the very start. The check-in staff were exceptionally helpful and efficient, and the rooms were superb, reminding us of Malmaison in terms of room style. The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms with showers were very good.
We ate very early (around 4.30pm) in the hotel restaurant, as one member of the family was flying that night, with the rest of us departing in the morning. We don't often have good experience of hotel restaurants, but this was superb. All four of us ate a main meal with some delicious patatas bravas on the side, and with drinks the bill came to just over 60 euros. The restaurant staff were attentive and friendly, and our entire experience was exceptional.
We'd all recommend this hotel to anyone travelling via Girona Airport - a five-minute drive away.

We booked a room with Magma Spa for a night but Magma Spa was closed every Tuesday. Likely we can switch to the hotel spa and it was really relaxing. Definitely will will come back again.

The buffet breakfast selection was exceptional in choice & display. The food was wonderful too! The pool was beautiful but the weather wasn’t warm enough for swimming. We had dinner at a restaurant on the golf complex called Bella’s - very tasty Italian food & great atmosphere crested by excellent staff. We were taken there & back in the hotel’s golf buggy - a very good service. All of the hotel staff are attentive & knowledgeable providing first class service.

It's a small, quiet town close to the highway and about 20 kms away from Lloret de Mar (popular holiday town on Costa Brava).
There was a travelling circus being set up when we were there but nothing else exciting.
On the other hand we stayed just 1 night, as a stopover on a long journey.
