A nice large bedroom and related shared areas. Bathroom although shared was very spacious. The host was brilliant and cooked my wife and I a meal as we arrived later than expected for a small fee of course but well received. Tea and coffee facilities provided.

Very comfortable and quiet apartment in a farmhouse in a superb position high up in the mountains. Great cycling and walking routes from the door. Convenient for a day visit to Pamplona.
Very few hotel options so make reservations early.
Very few hotel options so make reservations early. No A/C in hotel but it cools off every evening and we opened windows after sunset and room cooled quickly. If you sleep hot like us ask for a sheet. Enjoyed dinner we had the daily menu and enjoyed all great options it was 3 courses for 22 euros each. Also make reservations.
Enjoy!

This hotel in an old monastery is wonderful - all modern inside but tastefully done with lovely lighting - stone floors in the reception- very accurate photos from the pictures I had the feeling it was very rural but in fact was on a main road and on a hairpin bend but despite that I didn’t hear much traffic It’s spotlessly clean and the surrounding area is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend
If you’re walking the Camino, this is a truly excellent place to stay. It is the first Hostel you’ll walk past once you descend the mountain… after the first day (from St Jean) you will honestly need a comfortable bed, clean room, good meal, and friendly staff… I can say this Hotel has all of the above. Eider, in particular, is a hard-working saint whom will always try to help you. In addition, I found the Bar staff to be very friendly, and it was a real bonus they could speak English!
La Posada is right next to the Camino which was great! The hot shower and towel warmer was just what I needed after a long day. Itxaro at reception was very sweet and very helpful. Service in both the bar and restaurant were nice and efficient. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. I love being able to open the window and look out. Perfectly brewed cafe au lait. One of the reasons I love Europe. They know their coffee. Very nice outdoor seating as well.
The luggage delivery service in Saint Jean Pied du Port (Express Bourricot) suggested that I book a room here instead of sleeping in the dorms at the monastery because the first day of The Camino, up and over the Pyrenees Mountains, is the most difficult. I'm very happy I took her advice. This place was luxurious. The food in the restaurant was not great. It was just okay. In all other ways, it exceeded my expectations.
We were stopping one night after having done 2 nights in hostels on the camino, coming from St Jean des pieds. We'd booked the hotel as the hostel which is attached to the hotel was full. It was great. Helpful staff, delicious 3 course dinner for 25euro, wonderful clean and spacious apartment. The hotel, a former monastery was wonderful respite and a treat after 2 difficult days of walking.
Hosteria Sabina is very good. It serves good meals for a very reasonable price. The rooms have good television and Wifi. Many pilgrims start the Spanish Road here. In Roncesvalles you may still experience the old "Camino de Santiago", much more than later on during your long walk! (Buses almost daily from Pamplona).
There are not many choices at Roncevalles but the Posada was a good compromise for price vs comfort. The rooms were fine and welcoming after the walk from St Jean. Slept well. There was another hotel that looked excellent but was more expensive and in any case full. Our luggage was delivered to outside our doors.
On my way to Portugal I chose this hotel. It was my second visit to this hotel. The rooms are basic, but the bed is very good and there is everything you need. The hotel is on the camino Santiago so you have to book it a few month before arrival. The place is quiet so you can have a good night sleep.
After a long hike crossing the Pyrenees, this hotel was send from heaven. The rooms were very spacious and the staff members were terrific, very kind and sweet. And the restaurant was great, the dinner selection had a little bit of everything and it was delicious.
PROS:
Gorgeous, classy, rustic hotel
Clean
Hot Shower
Comfortable bed
Breakfast was superb with many options
Dinner was a bargain for the quality (many fish options)
This hotel takes me back to the 1800s except with modern amenities
CONS: nada
Good hotel and restaurant at the start of the pilgrim road in Spain. (Travelers coming from far should book well ahead in Roncesvalles and neighborhood.) Check the bus time schedule!
The staff was very kind and helpful. The location was perfect with a restaurant. The dinner and breakfast were very nice. I recommend this place for the pilgrims
