Tabernas is a quaint, one-horse town but is conveniently located for the Hollywood/Cowboy experience nearby, as well as the 2 race tracks 10 minutes away.
It has all the amenities needed for the stay but is best used as a base to explore the region.

Welcome from lady, in saloon was very abrupt.
Welcome from lady, in saloon was very abrupt. I understand why as she was waiting for show in saloon to start. Would have loved to have the facility to make a hot drink in cabin, including a couple of cups. Even though the facilities were basic, we laughed so much at the performances. Customer care however does need some attention, predominantly led by the manager who initially greeted us, other staff were polite, but unfortunately she needed some tuition in customer care

Tavernas is a lovely town. People are so friendly.
We visit frequently to take part in Western activities.
This particular weekend was the annual film festival and even with covid we had a wonderful long weekend.
Plan to go back again for another Western weekend in November.

Tabernas is the closest village to the Hollywood theme parks...
Tabernas is the closest village to the Hollywood theme parks. There are no hotels but an excellent selection of hostals and B&B's all central to the village centre and offering great value for money. There are no restaurants except one (said tongue in cheek), and the village would benefit greatly from having at least one quality restaurant. Parking can be difficult and do not expect to park at your chosen hostal/B&B. The local people were very friendly and helpful.

We were just passing through as one of our group wanted to go to a western town and this was an excellent location to base ourselves. There is a bar attached to Desierto but it would have made the stay so much better if we had the option of a fridge as it was not walking distance to the nearest town.
Comfortable room with a balcony . Breakfast and dinner are served in a patio which also has a small pool which is very handy if you have been exploring the Tabernas desert . Guillermo and his Russian wife are very helpful owners - arranging tours and advising on walks. The dinner is excellent and like the hotel, extremely good value. All in all an excellent base for visiting the desert and sites used in the spaghetti westerns. Guillermo also knows a lot about the history of filmmaking in the desert .
The area is perfect for me , as it is close to the Almeria race track where i now go frequently . I really like the peace and quiet of this location and prefer a larger place to stay such as this one, as opposed to a hotel room. This is also very well equipped and i found it has all that i needed. The fireplace works really well to warm up the living room and bedroom , as winter nights at the desert can be quite cold, until the sun comes out and it gets warm again during the day.
Beautiful and comfortable rural house, where one feels just like home. The rooms are ample, cute and well-equipped, the garden and the pool are incredible, and the owners are just amazing (great suggestions for activities, even helping to book them! and fantastic home-made meals)... all surrounded by the incredible desertic landscape of Tabernas, in a perfect location to visit the entire province of Almería. A real garden in the desert . We'll come back for sure.
Really good location if you have a car and want to enjoy Tabernas desert, good kitchen facilities, good parking space, nice patio, quiet area (for those like me who don't enjoy city noises ;) ) All in all good place.
Make sure you check opening hours of nearby restaurants and/or take your own food supplies for longer stays :) This place is a bit remote ...but that is the beauty of places like this.
Lovely apartment. Very fresh, modern, well furnished and clean. Independent AC in every room. Incredibly quiet and comfortable. Best nights sleep I've had in a long time. Location is good if you're looking to explore tabernas desert or Fort Bravos or the other western style attractions nearby. There is ample parking in front of the apartment.
- The hotel is centrally located at the church.
- With a little patience you can also find a parking space in the tight crowded city (check maps beforehand!).
- Supermarkets are within walking distance on the same street.
Plenty of free parking on the street nearby, great Tabernas desert location, to explore what the desert has to offer. A modest room, good for a night's stay.
