Hotel up the hill in the village, with great views. The staff is super friendly and they are really trying to give you the best time. The breakfast was delicious and not expensive, with home made jam that is really good. A lot of hikes are in this area.
Set on the tiny Canary Island of Gomera, this small and quiet apartment complex has an outdoor pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and is just a 5-minute walk to the fabulous local beaches.

The staff is very friendly.
Because of some other older reviews we have searched for bedbugs in our room, but fortunately we haven't found any, it seems they got rid of this problem.
Bus stop, beach, mountains and supermarket are in walking distance.

Location - great view. Good electric heater, definitely needed at this altitude and this time of year. Bed comfortable. Liked the resident cat on log outside!
Offering pleasant views, Pensión Amparo Las Hayas is set in Las Hayas, close to Garajonay National Park. The guest house features a restaurant and free Wi-Fi in public areas.
I have been here several times. It's a great place for a winter escape. Once you've got the boat over from Tenerife, you get round the island by bus, taxi or boat, and it's away from the crowds. Good place to go if you like hiking, and just as good if you prefer to potter about. You're never that far from the beach. Mountains behind you and the sea in front of you. Watching the sunset each evening over the sea is a "thing". Good places to eat and drink. Love it here.

It's a lovely peaceful, chilled out little town.
It's a lovely peaceful, chilled out little town. Lovely beach and has a super arty, hippy vibe. A few great little shops but nothing too commercialised. I only stayed 1 night but 3 or 4 in good weather would have been lovely too. You can walk around the whole place.
There are buses serving the town from Vallehermoso and San Sebastian and the airport. They are very cheap and reliable.

Stunning views of mountains, sea views and views of the other canary islands. Good selection of beaches. Good choice of bars and restaurants, some music and entertainment in local venues. A few buses a day to get to the trails and back to San Sebastian. Difficult to work out the bus times at the stops in-between. (I would have liked more information on how the buses link up to trails and information on local moderate walks for newbie walkers who are not very confident!) but the views from the trails are awesome! If i came again i would sign up to some organised walks. But for experienced and confident hikers the trails are very clearly marked.

Valle Gran Rey on the island of La Gomera is a wonderful destination. It is not a crowded or over developed resort. There are some spectacular, if challenging, walks with amazing views. The climate is good in the Winter although the wind can be strong at times. There is a protected bay suitable for swimming when the Atlantic waves are too high elsewhere and a really lovely safe 'Baby Beach' suitable for young children. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants. Valle Gran Rey is a little difficult to get to (flight to Tenerife, fast ferry to San Sebastian and then either a bus or hire car over the mountains or second ferry along the coast, but that keeps it nice and quiet! This was my twelfth visit to the island and people do return year after year.

Valle Gran Rey is a beautiful area with beaches, safe swimming areas, good restaurants & cafes. Boat trips are available from the harbour @ Vueltas. A lovely long promenade passing through all the areas which make up Valle Gran Rey's coastal areas.
The hotel is bit dated, specially the twin beds can be an issue. I think they just having this type of bed in whole hotel. But pool on top roof is very nice. Breakfast is great whereas the dinner buffet is not worth trying. If you arrive at 6:30 pm sharp, you might be lucky otherwise it's cold, overcooked and pulpy. After two tries we skipped and had dinner at the harbor area which is excellent.
The staff are really nice, the food was so good!
Ate the fried polpo for dinner and the breakfast was typical La Gomera. I would recommend to eat at the restaurant. We stayed for 1 night with our 1 year old son and the staff were so kind to us.
room is clean, we got what we needed for 1 night stay. I think this is a pit stop pension house.
Great location very close to the Garajonay National Park. The place is very easy to find, with convenient parking. Within the same building there is a restaurant with great local food. Rooms are basic, but you have everything you need. Perfect place for a weekend in La Gomera. Ideal starting point for hiking.
Super cute host and apartment. Amazing view from the balcony (right next to the mountains, you can see the sea down in La Playa). It helps to speak some Spanish for the check-in and you shouldn't mind the stairs in La Calera. We were happy :)
i had a fantastic workation week in la gomera. the place was really clean and wellkept with very friendly staff that helped me when in need. and a beautiful little balcony with seaview. very inspiring. Thanx!
Nice spacious apartment with great view of the valley and sea, walking distance from the beach, bus stop nearby, very well maintained green garden. Friendly and very helpful owner.
Lovely people running this well maintained residencial complex. Spacious apartment, rather big swimming pool, wifi was solid. Number of good restaurants in the vicinity.
A bit difficult to find as the sat nav stopped at a taxi rank. But we phoned the hotel and she explained the apartment was up some steps behind but there was no signs
Very good quiet location in beautiful Valle Gran Rey, with a wonderful view from the terrace. Not too far from nice restaurants. Celia was extremely helpful.
Location was perfect for sunsets and mountain views. Breakfasts and dinners were good. The staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly
and professional.
the accommodation was in a very lovely village with a beautiful view terrace! everything was there for a nice rest! Definitely recommend to our friends
