We loved everything about our stay at Au p'tit Mont. Our room was light, airy and well equipped. The breakfast was amazing and all local produce, including fresh bread made by our host. Highly recommend this beautiful little haven when visiting the area.

We had a fantastic experience here. The accommodation, which has been carefully renovated from an old farmhouse for a long time, was so clean and comfortable, and the scenery of the beautifully decorated garden was so nice. The breakfast made with ingredients collected from the surroundings was wonderful and delicious. The welcome when we arrived, the tour guide and helped us a lot during our stay, and the sunset on the hillside after we took a walk together was perfect. The room was great and the bathroom looked like it had just been updated and renovated. Breakfast was very good and there were many options of breakfast food. Coffee was excellent. Location for breakfast was tricky to find as it La Mere Poulard was under going some renovations and we had another hotel for check-in. We found it! It was just beyond the drawbridge entrance. Like all the buildings on the island the hotel is a very old building, very tightly fitted into the surrounding buildings, which added to its charm. There is a steep path and a medieval staircase leading up to the hotel, which may be inconvenient for some visitors. An overnight stay on the island, however, allows you to enjoy the peace and magic of the place, which is not possible during the day when the tourist traffic is really heavy. Despite the high humidity on the island, and the obvious consequences of living in medieval building, the rooms were dry, warm, clean and adequately equipped. Breakfast was very tasty, with a good selection of produce.

I was so looking forward to staying in one of the quiet cottages in a garden setting as shown in the pictures of my booking. However I was put in a tiny room in the main hotel with a view of a busy road. It was smelly with cooking smells so I had to open the outside doors with the sound of traffic all night. The music from the restaurant downstairs came through the floor. They did turn the volume down when I asked. The advertised pictures are very misleading. There should be an option to guarantee a cottage when booking. I paid an inflated weekend price for a very mediocre room that was noisy. The rest of the hotel is very nice. I was able to store my bike in a shed.
