Such friendly hosts made us very welcome when we arrived. The room was really large and roomy, bathroom very clean. Everything was lovely.
Breakfast was excellent too with fresh fruit salad, fresh bread/croissants with home made jams.

When my wife, daughter, and I arrived and entered our assigned room, we were hit with a strong cigarette smell. I went downstairs to request a new room, but the staff informed me that the hotel was fully booked and all they could offer was an odor eliminator spray. Since I have asthma, I didn't want additional chemicals on top of the cigarette smell.
The staff was mixed. One gentleman was incredibly friendly and truly cared about our situation. He even offered us a fan when I mentioned how hot our room was—my wife was considering sleeping in the lobby. Normally, we would have switched hotels immediately, but it was already late, and my daughter had her French Championship climbing competition the next day at 7 am. Finding a new hotel on short notice seemed impractical.
The breakfast was mediocre, to be honest. The saving grace was the beautiful pool area and the fantastic entertainment options, including billiards, which my daughter and I enjoyed. However, the location is quite far from everything.
The Campanile Besançon Valentin is located near the A36 motorway (exit Saint Claude) and 5.8 km from Besançon and Besançon Viotte TGV Station. It offers guestrooms with free Wi-Fi.

Only location. It was close to the highway we used. There is a Carefure market nearby and shopping mall when we had chance to eat something as restaurant in hotel were closed. Hotel has free parking but it is not secure parking. There are two petrol stations with cheap price compared to highway.
Close to Alsace and Jura, this hotel is easily accessible from the A36 motorway. It is situated in the village of Ecole-Valentin, a 5 minute drive from Besançon. Free WiFi is provided.
