Onzain was a great stop in the Loire.
Onzain was a great stop in the Loire. The home of a few chateaux, and great accessibility to many others, we fully enjoyed our stay. Besides experiencing 2 or 3 visits to these chateaux, we stumbled into a great open market in Blois and took in some wonderful jazz at Cheverny! Unfortunately, we were there during a major heatwave which just slowed down our pace ever-so slightly. Highly recommended. Yes, you must have an automobile, of course to explore the region.PhilipUnited States

Christine was friendly, full of great dining/activity recommendations, and very attentive to anything we needed. She and her husband take wonderful care of the property, which is set back from the road and surrounded by beautiful gardens and the forest. It is very worth it to linger around the property and get breakfast in the chateau, too. I would make a trip out of my way to stay here again in the future. Thanks for a great stay!WillUnited States
