It is an old town with renovated centrum which is a good base to explore the region of Walloon and Northern Picardië (Bernissart, Aubeschies, Bavay, Valenciennes, …). Also aside lays a big forest which includes an old mine terril which offers an excellent viewing point over the area.

My cousin had the room next to mine and we both agreed how relaxed we felt. We were in St Amand les Eaux for a family wedding so it was an ideal location for being picked up and dropped off. Good to have a quality hotel as for a while, there was very little. This hotel has clean, comfortable rooms, spacious bathroom. Quiet. Great views across the surrounding countryside. lots of other facilities on site to choose from. good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Free parking in hotel carpark. No evening meal but a very good restaurant 2 minute walk opposite the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful.
