Lovely modern property beautifully decorated and very comfortable- bed was great. It was in a quiet residential location so I had a wonderfully peaceful stay. Host Mel was very warm and welcoming.

The owners were more than helpful and give all the information you could possibly need. Will definitely return

Really expensive for what you got. Breakfast choices very bad. Not good quality food. Cheap cheese slices etc.
This 4-star luxury hotel and spa is set in a Georgian mansion style building surrounded by attractive landscaped gardens. Liverpool and Manchester are both 30 minutes’ drive away.

Never had breakfast said £18 per person online.
Well over priced dearest breakfast I've ever saw with hotel.so went to other hotel close by half the price.
This 4-star, Art Deco-styled former airport terminal is just 1 mile from John Lennon Airport.

Checkin was busy when we arrived and there was only one person at the desk. It is a just above average hotel as airport hotels go. Nice views of the old aircraft on the apron of the old airport. I think a bit of information about the history of the hotel/airport would help too. The reception staff need to find personalities.

The communication between the me and the host was very good. Mel was responsive and any questions I had, prior to arrival, were answered quickly. On arrival I was able to park in the driveway as previously arranged. Mel greeted me in a friendly and welcoming manner at the door and showed me to the room, which was clean, tidy, light and airy, tastefully decorated and had all the items that were mentioned on the initial booking of this room. The ensuite shower room was nice and clean too, something that is my bug-bear (if not cleaned properly) whenever I have stayed in places before. I will definitely book with her again when I am next up that neck of the woods. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Awful and nothing like the rooms that are advertised, absolutely disgraceful to advertise a certain standard then offer the awful dated dirty rooms as per my photos attached.booked on booking.com and filtered hotels with a spa, upon arrival I was told the spa was shut! No tv working on first room and then put into an underground room with 3 double beds, no lamps or wast bin and can only be described as a very dated dorm style.

Everything overall was amazing ok the beds were annoying we had to remove all plastic sheets as they made noise and woke you up in the night the caravan apart from this was spot on and i would recommend staying at this property and we will be returning the on site indoor swimming pool was good warm and fun apart from the slide which needs reporting as it is dangerous each of the kids sustained rib and leg injuries due to the sharp bend as you come off it. The fair next door to the site at fir Prince was fun reasonably priced
This is a really lovely room in a house that is situated in a beautiful area. I used the room for a business trip, however I had the opportunity to walk around the local area. Pex Hill is only about 200 yards from the property and is recommended! It does state that the property is in Rainhill, but it’s actually in Cronton which is next to Rainhill . The room was spotlessly clean and the host was a pleasure to deal with- nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely stay again and recommend to other people needing a room in this area
Whilst the room was nice, big, and bright and extremely warm (29 degrees) if let itself down because of the terrible mold around all of the windows and what seemed to be something melted on the radiator obviously because of the extreme heat. We were told breakfast was from 08.30 so we declined as we had an appointment elsewhere at 09.00 however when leaving the hotel at 08.20 we seen a waitress carry a tray with 3 breakfast’s upstairs. All in all a poor experience.
Not happy I came from London drove all that way to be told I can't use surna room as its not included in price off booking hotel why wasn't that included in prices why you calling it spa when its nothing to do with hotel package im not happy want some money back after driving 4 hours to be told this
What did I like? Nothing at all. Shabby hotel, the photos are exceptionally misleading, our room was decorated like a fish tank and you had to kneel on the bed to use an ironing board because there was no floor space! Our king room was 2 singles pushed together with poor quality bedding.
The property was in a great location for our activities. The room suited our group numbers and requirements. The hotel looks way better on the photos then in real time. Rooms were very tired and in need of a makeover,
There wasn’t anything to like in this hotel that was their intention!
It was easy to get to by car.
The actual bed was comfy but looked awful!
There wasn’t anything else that you could say we liked.
very old property newly renovated staff brilliant. attentive staff . room very large . does smell of moth balls and bleach in most areas of hotel but overall clean .
