Saltcoats has a fascinating heritage and a beautiful seafront (which affords the visitor stunning views of the Isle of Arran and the southern coast of the County). It has excellent shopping, cafes, bars and restaurants, clean open spaces and a fantastic collection of buildings - the best of which date from the 16th to early 20th Centuries.

The town itself is not worth visiting, but it's a good place to stay if you're planning a trip to Arran, because the accommodation here is cheaper compared to the ones on the island and ferry service is near buy.

Beautiful sea front, really clean & scenic.
Beautiful sea front, really clean & scenic. Perfect if you’re getting the ferry to the isle of Arron. The town is a little run down but this is a great place to stay for a base if you are travelling around this area of Scotland.PollyUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
