A beautiful hotel with great design and lay out, ensuring all rooms and terraces profit from the fantastic view. We loved the lighting, the view from the terrace, the exceptionally clean rooms with lovely bedding and towels. The privacy, discretion and quiet were really appreciated, and it was also lovely not to feel like we had to rush out to vacate the room for cleaning (and often it wasn’t easy leaving the luxury of that view with coffee and reading on the terrace!) We thank Anna, Marina and Nikita on reception for helping us have such a wonderful, healthy and relaxing holiday. Particular thanks to Anna for helping with the hire car and very good advice for a nervous driver/passenger on the cliff roads and tracks of the island!) And Nikita’s map was really useful thanks. And also a big thank you to the cleaning staff and room service team, the cleaning really was exceptional and what a luxury having breakfast delivered to our terrace every morning. Thanks to Marina and all the team for such a lovely stay, and apologies for delay with review - today on a dark, cold wintery day in UK we definitely wish we were back there now!

The room was nicely decorated and cleaned regularly. Any slight issues ( door handle broke ) were immediately put right. Dimitris was very helpful with any advice required and arranged car hire at a good rate for me, also a reasonably priced taxi to meet me at the airport on arrival. The views were very good - over the harbour area and most of the Chora area up past the windmills to the castle. Sunrise worth getting up early for too. Very quiet generally . A slight slope up from the main road and just a couple of short flights of steps to the apartment. 5 minutes walk to the restaurants in Chora. Walk down to the harbour takes about 20 mins at a steady pace., passes a supermarket and grocery shop. Take your time coming back up . No rush anyway. Worth hiring a car for a few days at least ( the main road is good for most local places - further on it turns to a rocky road surface in places so you might need a jeep type car if you want to be really adventurous and visit the more remote beaches ). But most traffic is light and flows at a slowish pace and there's at least 4 beaches within 20 minutes drive that are on the good road.

Very clean comfortable and friendly. Got a lift from ferry terminal in the middle of the night and we are very grateful.. Charming family. Very near beach supermarkets and nice restaurants. Fab!

Everything was absolutely perfect, the apartment was extremely clean, modern, equipped with everything you might need. The bed was very comfortable, with a selection of pillows, the air-conditioning worked very well and the shower was powerful. Maria is a real diamond of a lady, she responded very quickly to all messages. She goes above and beyond with the service provided. An incredible treasure, who seems to have a heart of gold. We were received with open arms like old friends. She acted like a fairie, delivering bakes to our fridge everyday, replenishing the baskets with coffee and all odds of snacks. We can honestly say that she makes Stampalia one of the best accomodation we have ever stayed in on all our travels. There are not enough words to described the accommodation, the hospitality and the welcome we received. The accommodation was stylishly beautiful. So many delightful touches. Katerina had developed everything herself over the past 17+ years. Lovely views of the chora, castle and Livadi Bay. Adonis, her son, collected us from the port, and on our last day hired us a car letting us keep it to drive down to the port for the very early ferry on our final morning and leave the car there for him to collect. The girl who served us at breakfast - we did not get her name - was a delight; and next time we'll remember her name because we shall be back. In 20 years travelling the Greek islands this is one of the best places we have stayed.

The studio was perfect for a solo traveller or couple, super clean, tastefully decorated, super quiet, a lovely location just below the castle and just above the main square. Maria and her team kept it immaculate while I would go to the beach, and they left me generous provisions for morning coffee. I loved it!
