The breakfast was fantastic with freshly made juice and choice of omelettes or anything else you liked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great - a short walk to the shops, restaurants and the bus stop was just outside. The big bonus was the bakery downstairs which had delicious cakes !

The accommodation was exceptionally clean. It has everything you could possible need. Well furnished and a very comfortable bed. The outside area is beautiful too. Aris is a super host. Nothing seems too much trouble for him. He is so kind, helpful and full of information. The location is great. Easy to walk to Plaka or Triovasalos where there are bus stops for Adamas. If I return to Milos I would definitely stay at Vira Vivere again.

Great place. Directly located in Plaka and a close walk to nice taverns and a beautiful sunset spot. Dimitris is a fantastic host that will make sure you arrive safely and know your way around the island. Having a cleaning every day in the apartment is an absolute luxury. This place really hits the sweet spot of luxury and affordability.

Nice to be in a location with some restaurants/bar, lots of shops, incredible views and lots of friendly cats! Safe area and free public parking lot a 10-15 min walk from most places in the Plaka. Overall seems much less crowded and crazy than Adamas Port area. Some small museums in the town. As Plaka is higher up on the island, be prepared for walking inclines/declines and some stairs depending on your route. Limited car parking up close to restaurants and some of the rental accommodations, so something to consider if you have difficulty with mobility. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this area again.

Excellent location in Placka.
Excellent location in Placka. The host Stelios really care about the clients and he is used to provide very useful information about restaurants and beaches in Milos and other islands. The studio was amazing with an excellent view. I suggest all future visitors of Milos to stay in the old village of Placka and book a room at Halara Studios.

Magnificent view from the terrace of the countryside below Plaka, parts of the Milos bay and the windmills of Trypiti. On foot you can reach the old core with its beautiful Cycladic architecture in a few minutes or the ancient theater in half an hour. Don't miss the sunset from the Kastro! Our host Dimitris was incredibly helpful, in case of technical problems (Wi-Fi) immediately on the spot and had many good tips for restaurants, beaches and other destinations. On request, our apartment would have been cleaned even daily, which we did not find necessary.

Plaka is a small village but definitely the best place to stay on Milos due to the village being quite lively at night. I recommend a car for the island anyways so you might as well stay in that village and get a great view. The village is also central enough to the main attractions that if you want to hike directly from there to the port city or the beaches (Plathiena) or fish village (Klima) you will have a nice good hike. The prices are more expensive there so go eat elsewhere. The Utopian Café is worth it, though you can see the beautiful sunset from so many places. Do not go to the only café/bakery near the center - it's overpriced. Go to Adamantas - the port town - better prices for better quality.

This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly.
This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly. There are restaurants nearby.some a bit pretentious. We used a local taxi to take us around and to leave on the ferry
Incoming was difficult as l ferry was two hours late. Nothing at ferry terminal. Best to walk to entry to port where there are more.
No nearby local shops.
Excellent archaeology including the spot where Venus de Milo was found.

Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in.
Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in. At night they block off car traffic and so pedestrians can walk freely from restaurants to shops to bars, etc. So cozy and lots of dining options. Central to the whole island.
Dimitris went above and beyond to make our stay incredible! He gave us amazing recommendations and was available to help with everything (even booking an ATV to be delivered to us!). He also came early in the morning the day of departure to help us with our bags. I highly recommend staying here - so close to the centre of Plaka with lots of restaurants, beautiful views for the sunset and yummy cocktails. Words can’t describe how kind everyone was and the room was beautiful!! We’re looking forward to going back.
So close to Sarakineko and Plaka. Very convenient.
But even more the service level is out of this world so warm and friendly. Evi our hostess was super attentive... Almost like a personal butler. 😄
The BREAKFAST! Amazing spread and customised to your needs. 😋
We had an add on massage which the hotel arranged and they set up right outside our honeymoon suite
Would come back and stay here again.
Nice views of the ocean, five minute walk to old city Plaka. Owner is Stelios who also owns a bar named Verinas (cute little joint with hand crafted cocktails). Breakfast not included. Has an electric stove top with some cooking supplies and small hotel size mini fridge. Would recommend getting a car to drive to all the beaches of Milos. Helped us with car and restaurant reservations.
Halara Studios was a highlight of our Greece trip, we felt so at home in the studio and were looked after so well by Stelios and Ms Anna. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and if we visit Milos again in the future, we would gladly stay here. The room had all the comforts you would want and the view from the balcony is pretty hard to beat.
Great location in trypiti. Trypiti is walkable but you need to drive to plaka unless you have time for a 20 minute walk. The room was very comfortable and well decorated. They give free water bottle abs wine. The ocean view is AMAZING! Highly recommend booking with ocean view. It was the best sunset we saw in our whole Greece trip.
View of the sunset on your own terrace. Barely a 2 minute walk into the center of Plaka. 10 minutes with luggage to bus stop to go into Adamantas.
Betty and her husband are so incredibly kind and helpful. You have everything you need in your studio. The room was immaculately clean. Bed is standard firm for Greece 😁
Great place in the heart of plaka. Clean, updated and lots of space. After a few weeks in greece a laundry machine was an amazing amenity. The shower is large and is the first to fit my 6'5" partner in greece. Tons of space for a couple and could easily fit a family of 4. Would not hesitate to recommend this place.
We loved the amount of space we had - this was unexpected considering how affordable the booking was. We loved the amount of privacy, and our own little courtyard. We really loved our hosts - so helpful and keen to try to communicate with us despite not speaking our language. Bonus - lots of cute cats.
Our stay with Anastasia and Loukas was the highlight of our trip in Greece! Beautiful location, comfortable and cozy accommodation. Absolutely lovely hosts who took care of our stay, even picking us up at the ferry and driving us into town to pick up a rental car. Cannot recommend enough.
Location was phenomenal. In the center of Plaka. Easy walk to all restaurants in the center of town. Short walk to the bus stop. Room was beautifully decorated. View was incredible. Dimitris, the hotel’s owner picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry port. He was a lovely host.
I liked the location of the hotel. It was just a few steps from cafes, restaurants and shops in Plaka. The hosts were very accommodating as our ferry was over 2 hours later than expected. The hosts communicated great and gave us a ton of recommendations for all over the island.
Aris was an exceptional host, providing us with the information we needed to see the sights in Milos. He was invaluable in assisting us with required covid testing. Our apartment was perfect, the best we've had in three weeks on greece. Highly recommend vivere a plaka.
Best location and amazing view from the terrace !
The owner is very nice and helpful. It was so lovely to discover flowers, a bottle of wine and a wish card when we entered the room, as we were travelling in Greece for our honeymoon.
I would definitely go back there !
I liked our stay, the room were very spacious and our host was very lovely and helpful. There was enough parking for all the guests. The is a washing machine available to use which was helpful since we were in Greece for two weeks.I would definitely visit again.
Everything about this hotel was amazing. Made our stay in Milos even better. Antonia our host was the best. She helped us organizing our day trips and helped us with everything we needed including reservations. We recommend to stay here 100%.
The room was spotless clean and the location is ideal. You are walking distance to all the little shops and restaurants.
The owner is super nice, he went down to the village to get us and bought us directly to our room. Recommend this hotel!!
This is a great place! The family that runs this small hotel is the kindest and friendliest. The bonus is the pastry downstairs. Excellent greek sandwiches and baklavas
The best stay from our visit in Greece, the host went the extra mile to help us with traveling and even food. Really loved out stay it was absolutely beautiful!
