Cosy and well-kept little town surrounded by beautiful nature.
Spend one or two days visíting the main spots of the town: Erzsébet tér, Szent-József Church, Jézus Szíve Church, Bank Palace, Thury György Museum, Vasemberház, Kiskastély, Inkey-kápolna. A must-see is the MAORT-telep, the American workers' neighbourhood with its typical athmosphere.
Then head out to the nature: surrounding lakes (Csónakázó-tó, Gyékényesi-tó, Kistolmácsi-tó), Kőszikla-szurdok Nagybakónak (photo), Förhénc wineyard and more.

City is NOT tourist friendly!
City is NOT tourist friendly! We went to a couple of restaurants downtown and the staff didn't speak any other language but Hungarian. If you don't speak hungarian you won't be served. Spend your money elsewhere.
kindness, location, facilities, ...
I stayed there with my family for 1 night and I can really recommend it to everyone. They accept card payments, you can park in front of the hotel and the location is really nice. The park for children is close as well and the bakery is on the opposite side, so you can buy fresh bread. Beds are very comfortable. I sleep very well there.
Nice and clean minihotel. We needed to spend only one night, but we rested very well. The room was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable, the bathroom was spacious. There was even an electric kettle with instant coffee in case we wanted to have some.
The hotel was simple, but nice. There was a nice sport field next to it and the location was great.
In addition to it, the receptionist was really friendly and waited for our arrival after the check-in hours.
This hotel is ideal for 1 or 2 nights.
The hotel is really close to motorway and it has a very nice garden and excellent restaurant with wonderfull staff. The rooms are big enough and we had also a small, but ok patio, sufficient for stay a bit outside. Breakfast was ok.
The hotel is located in a very nice and quiet location. the room was clean and well equipped, air conditioning very good. They also have a restaurant with a nice outside terrace where you can taste great hungarian cuisine.
all the staff is friendly and helpfull. rooms are large and clean. there is a big new kids playground near the hotel in a park. the location is excelent just a few minutes from highway.
I cannot understand how can a hotel of this caliber have adults sleep on a sofa and ask for the full price as we would expect sleeping on normal beds!
Extremely disappointing!
The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel has own safe parking place inside. The room was big, mainly the bathroom. The temperature of the room was comfortable.
