A great location, just by the bridge to Achill Island and with great views around. The hotel is relatively basic but surprisingly large and has a very busy bar and restaurant for locals - very friendly. Staff were very welcoming and overall we had a good stay. I'd be happy to go again.

Very welcoming host. Lovely cosy home with the fire lighting when we arrived. Anne made us feel very welcome. Very clean and comfortable room with unsuite bathroom. Anne was very good with recommendations for food and activities locally. Also she cooked a great full Irish breakfast!

A great place with peace and great beaches. Not for a crazy party weekend, as there are limited number of places available. Still, It is a great island for nature and some good romantic times. Beautiful scenery, beaches, popular with cyclists. Friendly locals. Have only been to one village, other areas are more developed,, and popular tourist spots. The 450 bus service goes from Westport, to connect with train stops in the village, and goes through Achill Sound. There are taxis, but it may take a while to get one. We stayed for 2 nights but I wish we had longer.
We stayed for 2 nights but I wish we had longer. The beaches were gorgeous, we hired bikes and went touring one day, I did find the bike hire a little expensive but it was lovely to have the facility available close to our hotel. Keel and Keem are very busy at this time so we went to Dumh Eige and Doogart beaches instead. We ate lunch in Gielty's which was very tasty and there are lots of activities available on the island such as paddle-boarding, kayaking, walks etc.LouiseIreland

Very private, quiet and safe location and only a few minutes cycle to the Great Western Greenway. Pubs and Hotels are also near-by for late meals and entertainment. A wonderful B&B, everything was spotless, comfortable beds with an excellent Breakfast, good value too. And Kieran is a very helpful host. Will be back.
