Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We were greeted by a friendly person and made arrangements for a great dinner. The breakfast, which was included, was very good with many choices. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was big and comfortable and quiet as there aren’t many rooms. The breakfast was complimentary and very tasty. The staff lady was very helpful.

Must try black crust pizza.
Must try black crust pizza. The lookout point at Dyrhólaey panoramic views, don't miss it and of course the Black Sand beach. To visit the crashed US plane, either we can walk for 3 hours (both ways) or take shuttle which will cost ISK3000 per person.

Vik is a picturesque gem tucked along the country's stunning south coast! Reynisfjara Beach is easily accessible, where black sand meets crashing waves with towering basalt columns as the backdrop. The wind can get too strong which makes a part of the beach dangerous (sneaker waves warning), but it is still well worth visiting. The town is charming with cozy cafes (try the black crust pizza!), the locals are warm and welcoming. This town is the perfect location to embrace the opportunity to disconnect and immerse yourself in Iceland's raw beauty.

We stayed in Vik for 3 days. Totally loved it.
We stayed in Vik for 3 days. Totally loved it. It is quite a small town, but has a big supermarket (kronan), a really great quality hiking clothes/supplies store, plus a number of cafes and places to eat. We recommend Sudur Vik Restaurant especially.
We did the Katla Track ice cave tour which was amazing and left from Vik!! Also recommend Icelandic Mountain Guides Snowmobile tour - meeting point 25 mins drive from Vik. Black Sand beach is great, as is local open air pool.
We stayed in the Vik hotel which is fabulous, but as we were there for three days, I would have preferred an apartment. The hotel also operates the Vik Apartments (which I hadn't realised before I booked) - they look really good.

We based our family of 5 in Vik to explore the southern coast over 3 nights with our rental car. We found it easier to have one base rather than a different hotel each night.
We visited the Skogafoss Waterfall, Black Sand Beach, YODA caves, gorge hike, Glacier walk at Skaftafell and then onto the Glacier lagoon and Diamond Beach.
We didn’t eat out as it was expensive for what appeared average food so we went to the local supermarket and cooked back at our self catered apartment.
Vik offers lots of adventure based companies who organise tour and expeditions.
Lovely place with a view just a 10-20-minute drive away from Vik, the Black Beach and Dyrholaey. (You should have a car (or bike), though.) Everything's clean and cosy, and the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. If the weather's game, the deck is also a great place to just have a coffee and enjoy the view! Rather good value for money compared to other places (in Iceland). We were sorry we had to leave after two nights! The hosts were also very helpful when we asked for an earlier check-in time, which we appreciated a lot!
It is in a great location in Vik. The hotel is nice, welcoming and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful too! We had an issue on our first night, but they tried to remedy the situation as quickly as possible and I appreciated their swift efforts! The family rooms and triple rooms are an adequate size! The beds were comfortable and clean! The breakfast was very good too! Will definitely visit here again during our next southern tour of Iceland!
Super nice hotel close enough to Vik to get to the village in less than 10 min by car, but not too close, so it was really dark at night and perfect for looking for auroras. Nice and clean, perfect room for a couple of days stay.
We could hear the people from the rooms next to us when they were on the hallway but not inside the room, so it was quiet during night.
We are going to stay again for sure when coming back to Iceland!
This was an extraordinary stylish and beautiful hostel. My daughter and I stayed in a room with 6 bunkbeds. The showers and bathrooms were spotless. There was a small bar and you could purchase coffee and baked goods for breakfast. We didn't cook but they had a great kitchen for those who prefer to carry and make their own meals. The location was excellent on the same road as one of the most famous black sand beaches in Iceland.
this hotel was just outside of town, but still convenient to drive back into town. Location had food and bar available on site. Our favorite thing about this place was the geothermal hot tub! We probably stayed in there for three hours. Breakfast was fantastic as well one of the best we had while in Iceland. Staff was very friendly. Room was very basic value was pretty good.
Lovely location. great friendly staff! lovely Breakfast with Smoked Salmon fish! a MUST stay!!!!! Our best time among all hotels in Iceland. This is a PROPER hotel with masks and sanitizers for guests. Extremely clean. The room we got, seemed as if we were 1st guests. Nice bathrooms. Very very accessible to Vik, the crashed air plane and the Black beach (Reynisfjara).
The view was incredible! Heated floors in the bathrooms were wonderful. Tastefully appointed, very comfortable beds and plenty of space for our family to spread out and enjoy the view of the sunrise and sunset. The kitchen was an added bonus as well and only a few minutes to lots of amenities in Vik. Easily the best stay of our week in Iceland!
One of the cutest places we have ever stayed. The host treated us like family members. The house itself is located near the most famous beach of the Iceland, you can get there by foot. And after driving 2 hours around the Vik to see the Northern lights,we saw them in front of the house, when we came back.
The property is very modern and clean. It was the nicest place we stayed while in Iceland. Veronica and the gal who's from Greece (I apologize for forgetting her name) were very friendly and conversational. In fact, they were the friendliest young people with whom we spoke all week.
This was one of the best guesthouses where we stayed during our trip in Iceland. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and the bathrooms very clean. Also the big hall used for breakfast with view over Vik is simply amazing. Definitely exceeded our expectations.
I would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone visiting Iceland and driving up the coast. The hotel room was wonderful, staff were very accommodating, and the restaurant was great! I traveled with my mom and the room was perfect for two people.
A very spacious and clean room. The hotel is located in the beautiful country side just off the main road outside Vik. Breakfast is very good. The staff is very welcoming. A good stop over site as one is visiting the south of Iceland.
Everything about this hotel is perfect. The staff were amazing, the room was incredible and the food was the best we have had on our entire holiday if not ever. If you come Iceland you should definitely stay here.
Ideally located hotel in Vik as a stop over so that one can visit beautiful south of Iceland. Clean room and helpful staff. Recommended. Good breakfast. One of the black sand beaches is within walking distance.
This Vik hotel is convenient to so much on the South Coast of Iceland. The hotel is cozy, and our room was a good size, with a fairly large bathroom. The included breakfast was okay, and parking was easy.
Lovely location close to Vik. The price was fair compared to the usual Icelandic standard. Everything was clean, we had a warm welcome from the hosts, and a nice breakfast in the morning (basic, but good)
We arrived quite late at night and left early the next morning so didn’t experience too much of the hotel. Biggest room on our trip around Iceland and enjoyed a really good breakfast.
