B&B Hotel Park Suisse in St Margherita Ligure is a best place to stay while visiting Portofino. It is a modern renovated hotel with very comfortable rooms. We had a room with a view, it is breathtaking. Rooms have everything you need, good for long stay. Breakfast is very good, with ham, cheese, coffee/tea and sweet pastry.
Hotel La Vela is set in a small castle from the late 19th century. Perched on a gentle green hill; it boasts beautiful views across the Gulf of Tigullio.

This city is a must visit.
This city is a must visit. The city itself has plenty to offer, from shops to an array of great seafood restaurants. Awesome waterfront and the perfect connection, in whichever way suits you, on foot, by bus or ferry, to Portofino...and we did try all three.

I would have rather stayed in Santa Margarita than in Cinque Terra. CT was nice but SM was larger, the feel was more holiday Mediterranean style, more restaurants, shops... a great base to stay and then take the train or ferries down to CT

I loved the area.
I loved the area. I would stay there and take day trips to Cinque Terre rather than staying there. Cinque Terre is very noisy. it’s less expensive to take the bus rather than the ferry to Portofino.because was a short ride. Even though we were a mile from town it was too long and uphill to walk back. Taxi rides are $30 each way. I wish we were closer to the strip. There were many shops and nice restaurants on the strip and in town. Beautiful place

Absolutely beautiful place with plenty of restaurants and bars. Very friendly people everywhere we went. Clear water, no big waves, perfect for swimming. Plenty to see and easy transport to other areas. Trains cheap and frequent. Buses great. Taxi pricey.

Breakfast was great, home made and fresh cakes and lots of choice. Got a larger room than we thought with balcony and was always perfectly air-conditioned. Lovely roof terrace with a hot tub, looks like recently done and great views from here. We found it super hard to find any hotel with some sort of pool so were really happy with our choice. Staff was very friendly and so helpful and quick to respond to our queries. Is located in the centre of Santa Margherita, which was a great base for all means of transportation and main sights.
We stayed one night at Hotel Jolanda in beautiful Santa Margherita and were incredibly impressed by the lovely, helpful staff. Parking in Santa Margherita and Portofino is scarce and they provided a valet service at the hotel during our stay and also went out of their way to help us with parking in Portofino as well. They also provided safe locked storage for our bags so that we could keep them at the hotel after checkout. Our room was very comfortable and the hotel is a very easy walk to the beach. We would definitely stay again!
very nice hotel directly on the beach - private beach with full service, room with balcony facing the sea, friendly staff, good breakfast on the terrace in front of the sea, located in the center of Santa Margherita Ligure with many very good restaurants, we really enjoyed it, the parking was 50 m from the hotel, there was staff helping with luggage, close to Portofino - it is reccomended to go there by boat - 15min ( every hour) , the visit of lighthouse with bar was wonderful!
Excellent stay for few days.
We have stayed in Hotel Argentina four or five times before this visit. The hotel is in an excellent location, in the now trndy Paraggi beach village. with good parking and easy access to the shuttle bus to overcrowded Portofino, one mile away.
Howevdr, this is the first time we have had a room with a beautiful terrace, which expands the value of the experience. The beach and the surronding tree covered hills rising from Paraggi's bay prfesent a beautiful view while relaxing.
The staff are amazing. They sat my wife and I down right at check in and went over all of the best spots to go to in town and told us all of our options. The room was extremely clean and the air conditioning worked great. The breakfast was fantastic and the hotel is in a perfect location. It is a 2 minute walk to the main stretch of Santa Margherita Ligure. We will definitely be staying here when we come back. Would rate this hotel 10/10, definitely recommend to stay here.
Absolutely everything is exactly like in the pictures.
The room was large and beautiful with a breathtaking sea view
Housekeeping twice a day is a big plus.
Amazing gardens that are perfectly trimmed and taken care of.
The beach was very organized and attended your every need.
Exceptional staff, from reception to beach club.
I highly recommend Imperiale palace hotel!
The Hotel is nicely situated in the middle of one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. The place itself is really peaceful and sleeping is only "disturbed" by the morning bell of the closed by church - it feels finally like being in an Italien movie. Go and get this feeling. Parking is close by with space for large cars - so no challenge on this level as well.
Beautiful apartment in the center of Santa Margherita. Close to the beach and city center. Host was the best! She gave us all the information needed for staying in Santa Margherita - detailed and clear, was online and ready to answer immediately, entrance was explained clear. Apartment is clean with big and comfy bed. Has kitchen with all needed facilites.
Great location. The room was sub par and not at all like the pictures on the website. With it being off season and not many people in the hotel, we were stuck in the smallest, darkest rooms on the street side. The street noise made it difficult to sleep. Front desk staff was not helpful or friendly. The restaurant staff were great!
Perfect Location to access Protofino or Santa Margherita by foot or Bus. Great samall sandy beach with Turqoise water. We had the paradise room with the the large terrasse and spa, it was just great to be there to relax and enjoy the view, the best room in town!
Everything in this hotel was absolutely amazing!
The room , the location , the view , the restaurant, the spa ( Samira - the best spa therapist! )
Very friendly and helpful staff !
Excellent hotel and great summer vacation!
The location is clean, modern, super comfortable and has everything you might needed.
The host is also very kind and helpful.
Check in smooth and easy.
Best spot in Santa Margherita for a studio rental.
We loved everything about our stay at the Mediterranean. The staff was incredibly hospitable and helpful. The hotel is centrally located, and a perfect location to see Santa Margarita and Portofino.
been in Italy for 3 weeks, this has been the best place to stay, the most beautiful one. Perfect for couples, service is amazing and the place just amazing.
