Spoleto is one of Italy's most pictures and peaceful towns. Very relaxed atmosphere with lots of beautiful restaurants and eateries.
The old Roman structures were not crowded and easy to access on foot. Walking around Spoleto was easy and very safe both by day and night.

The view at the top of the mountain using the tramway was exquisite and seeing the bridge and fort....Loved the Duomo beautiful beyond..the old streets...not many tourists...the streets so interesting. It was easy to get around..loved the piazza below our accommodation. Our accommodations were beyond my expectation. The wrap around terrazzo was such a bonus and a special way to end our trip. The old very old church just outside added to the beauty. and the tramway a walk away, The views from our terrazzo was spectacular!.

Spoleto is a city dating back thousands of years, where monuments, fortresses and wonderful awe inspiring churches exist. A modern underground walking/moving escalators and elevators assist young and old alike to move around this wonderful ancient city. There are numerous shops, boutiques, indoor/outdoor restaurants and bars to serve the public. Most important are the friendly people of Spoleto. A must see destination for all.

The area of Spoleto is quite vast and enchanting.
The area of Spoleto is quite vast and enchanting. I would recommend to other travellers to have a car so as to be able to move to different areas. Other places worth visiting are Montefalco, Orvieto, Todi, Montone, Assisi. We tried a restaurant called Ristorante Pizzeria Rosticceria da Moreno e Moira, it is situated at Via Carlo Marx 39, San Giovannio Di baiano 06049 Spoleto Italy. After the first time, we finished dining every day at this restaurant. The food is excellent, the owner is unique and very good value for money.
Located down in the lower part of the charming old town of Spoleto. It is near plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, which are also quite lively on a weekend. The sofa bed was extremely comfortable in the lounge area, and apartment was comfortable. The main part of the old town is a easy walk up the hill and steps into the main street, where there are more restaurants and plenty of sightseeing opportunities. To access La Rocca there is a short walk to the lift to take you to the top.
Everything about this property was fabulous. Situated outside of Spoleto, this is a reception place as well as hotel. It has a wonderful restaurant with first class food, amazing pool and farm animals if you have children. The room was modern as was the whole property. The shower recess was a little small for my husband but adequate for me. The whole property is very clean with lovely gardens and very large car park. The staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.
Their picture of the 13th century pedestrian bridge is no lie - there’s an amazing view out over the ravine and across to the Monteluco side of the valley. It’s quiet, the whole of the “centro storico” is an easy walk and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We loved the enormous windows in our room, with the wonderful view. If you like museums, get the Spoleto card - you can visit all 6 museums for a reduced price within 7 days.
A wonderful stay at the Villa on my "Via di Francesco". The Villa is between Trevi and Spoleto in Poreta and is a great place to relax in rural italy after the busy Towns. Beautifull Villa with a very spacious room. The host is very helpfull and offered me the choice of either have a local make me a simple diner or bring me to a restaurant. I did chose the simple dinner (bread, tomato, egg, vegetable pie) which was a delight.
Spoleto is a superb location and the Hotel dei Duchi is superbly located to visit the town. The staff is friendly and ready to help, the room was quiet, clean, and offered a great view on the countryside. The most important monuments of the town are near and, finally, the Hotel is surrounded by some interesting restaurants. The paid price is good for the value of the Hotel. I warmly recommend this Hotel.
Very good location, in the historic center of Spoleto. All attractions very easy to reach.
Nice and cosy appartment, well equipped, including cooking facilities.
Very clean and comfortable.
Elena is a great host. Even if we did not meet, she checked us in earlier, and we have always been in contact, in case we needed help. Thank you so much ! We will be very happy to come back some time.
We loved the garden, the private terrace with view on the fields, olive trees and mountains, the proximity to Spoleto, Trevi, Assisi, the very pleasant swimming pool, the efficient air conditioning, the lovely furniture in the apartment. Internet and wifi worked also perfectly. This place is a very lovely place for a vacation, with friendly guests, quiet surroundings in beautiful Umbria.
The agritourismo is situated about 2 kms outside Spoleto with a spectacular view of La Rocca and the old town. The breakfast room allows you to see this view at any time. The breakfast room itself has plenty of seating for the guests and serves a very good breakfast with attentive staff. Our room, was particularly roomy and faced out over the pool setting.
One of a kind hotel located in a medieval monastery in a heart of old town Spoleto. All modern amenities are in place, everything is sparkling clean. The best breakfast I ever had cooked fresh by the owner, breakfast area view is to die for. Owners are amazing people, we can’t wait to come back.
It was well located right in the old town. From the balcony we could see the people below at cafes in the piazza and even heard a choir practicing in a building near the church which was rather nice. It is not too far from the parking places to access the upper parts of Spoleto and the castle.
Location is best in town, however absolutely no investment into any upgrades. Terrible furniture, bathroom drawer came apart when opening. No space to place anything in the bathroom. Rooms very small. Hallways from the middle ages...no water in the room upon arrival.
It's a very quirky, step back in time, delightful hotel. This was our 5th hotel in Umbria and by far the best breakfast. Room was v clean, comfy and beautifully decorated. Whoever painted the walls with a trompe loiel (excuse spelling) effect did so brilliantly.
This place is the perfectly located. I really appreciate the location just near the town center, the services in particular the breakfast with many choices of the italian cornetto, the staff, the clean room with private toilette / Bath and the free parking.
The Palazzo Dragoni is beautiful, the rooms are large and luxurious, and it's in an ideal location in Spoleto. They went above and beyond to help me out with a car issue. Stay here -- both the people and the palazzo are amazing!
Great hotel and excellent customer service from a brilliant host. She was very helpful with the check-in process, sending us a map of the nearby parking lot and plenty of recommendations for local restaurants
The most beautiful hotel! Far exceeded expectations, pictures do not do it justice. Lovely buffet breakfast too in the courtyard. The garden view from my hotel was gorgeous too.
The staff were quite helpful. A couple of things were not working when we arrived, but were fixed right away! Very nice place to stay for exploring Spoleto!
Great if you have a car as hotel has a lot or parking nearby. Great breakfast. View of Roman amphitheatre from room. A bit on the business-y side however.
The rooms are far more functional and comfortable for an hotel of this level. The staff is kind and helpful. The annexed restaurant is cheap and quite good.
