Beautiful setting, very kind hosts, comfortable. Meals were great and plenty. Three nights was a great idea, you get to relax and enjoy Japan at a different pace. Lots of walk in the countryside. We were very happy with our choice, off the beaten path, but very easy to get to.

It's a beautiful spot. The cabins (the villas) are nice log cabins as long as you are ready to sleep Japanese style (futon on the floor) after you climbed a steep slippery ladder to the sleeping area. It's not a resort! It's what we will call a caravan park with cabins. Their website emphasises the meals & the good local produce used so it was a disappointment to arrive & find there is non available when we arrived (i guess it's available only in their busy period), check ahead. It's 15-20min Mt road drive to the nearest place you can eat. Breakfast was available at a modest cost & it was a humble japanese style.
I will definitely go back there

I had the pleasure of staying at this unique Japanese-style house, and the experience was extraordinary. The traditional bath, heated by an open flame make my day-end a memorable and relaxing experience.
Our gracious hosts treated us to a delightful BBQ dinner featuring incredibly tender Japanese beef and locally sourced deer meat. The breakfast was equally delightful, with crunchy-on-the-outside yet soft-on-the-inside bread, accompanied by fresh veggies straight from the hosts' own field.
The serene and unique environment of the house provided the perfect backdrop for a tranquil getaway. The hosts not only suggested a local Onsen which showcased the beauty of nature for a rejuvenating experience but also shared insider tips on nearby scenic spots and a vibrant farm market. The host also recommended us local activities, such as fishing, swimming, and cycling just in case we visit again in summer.
The hosts take great pride in their property, creating an unforgettable stay that seamlessly blends cultural immersion with modern comfort.

Beautifully decorated old style apartment. A real opportunity to stay in an old fashion house. Very comfortable. Perfectly outfitted. They have several locations in the city. Google maps shows only one house. Have to pick up keys some miles from Obama station--have to take taxi. But I had not read the instructions carefully. The instructions were clear and everything was fine. Taxi driver to key pick up was exceptionally helpful.
