Dogashima Onsen Hotel, hotel in Nishiizu

Set in Nishiizu, Dogashima Onsen Hotel offers 3-star accommodation with an open-air bath and a garden. This property offers access to table tennis, darts and free private parking.

They issued us a wrong type of room and as an apology upgraded us to a room with private onsen. The hotel is a bit old but is clean. Both the indoor and outdoor onsens are nice. The view of the sea from our room is gorgeous. The relaxation room is huge, there are massage chairs, board games, hammocks and lots of books for guests to enjoy. The buffet dinner is great, good variety (Japanese) and delicious. What surprises me is the free flow of alcohol; sake, wine, beer and even whisky! Service staff is helpful and professional. The carpark is opposite the hotel across the road, so it is better to drop off your luggage and travel buddies first.

Guest House Itokawa, hotel in Nishiizu

Guest House Itokawa is situated in Matsuzaki, 17 km from Koibito Misaki Cape, 41 km from Mount Daruma, and 8.1 km from Tago-minato.

I was on a long ride along the entire length of the Izu Peninsula. I was planning on staying in Shimoda but everything was sold out, but I found this place. I didn't know what time I would arrive, but the host arranged everything perfectly with instruction cards, for an easy check-in. I arrived pretty late, so I never got to meet him, but thank you! The room was more than large enough to leave my stuff scattered around one half of it, with the other housing the fluffy futon. So comfy, I didn't want to get out of bed the next morning. Everything was clean and I appreciated the modern toilet. Towels downstairs, and a nice big shower. There was a large common room, and I think they even have e-bikes for rent. WiFi was good. Best of all, for a cyclist- there is a storage hut just outside the property to stash your ride safely, protected from the elements (and theft).

The hotel is fantastic with beautifully on the sea from the morning to sun set . The staff is very helpful and opened. The room is good but the bath room is so small. The restaurant should change each day not every day is the same . The hotel is very close to the Dougashima park . We will recommend our friends to stay .thank you Mr Manager is always helpful.

It's a perfect location for exploring the west coast of Izu Peninsula. We traveled down to Hirizo Beach one day for snorkeling, and traveled up the coast to visit the beautiful rocky coastline the second day. We did not try any restaurants in the area, but it was very convenient to have a grocery store and 7/11 in town for meals.
