Perfect for a day trip in Chefchaouene. We paid £12 for the room; where we could store our bulky rucksack and take a shower (after a long coach trip from Fes). The location was perfect (heart of the Medina)

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the terrace was delicious, with amazing views every morning. And the location was perfect - right by everything. And it was really close to the path leading to the waterfall and Spanish mosque.

Terrible experience at this hotel, the owner tried to charge me an extra 20€ because there were 2 people in a room instead of one, whereas on Booking the price difference between one and two people is only 3€. Getting to the hotel is very complicated; there's a very steep climb and the last 50 meters are a dirt path. The breakfast was the worst I've ever had in Morocco. Avoid this place.

It is a more laid back place compared with where we had come from in Morocco ie. the bustling city of Fez -So we instantly felt more relaxed! We mostly enjoyed exploring by walking at our own pace in this pretty town in the mountains. We enjoyed views from rooftops and from the top of the Kasbah. We had good meals- one at the main square a restaurant called Twins which was great for people watching and to see the entertainers! Also the other restaurant we went to twice was called Cafe Clock where there was live music every night and the staff were very helpful and interested in chatting with us..

Picturesque town with lots of photo opportunities and hiking directly out of town. Smallish, but fun Medina which is full of steps and alleys you can get lost in, but easy to get out of as well. A bit touristy but souks are not pushy at all.

Scenic, but lots of tourists (including us!) most handicrafts for sale did not appear to be of high quality; however, some rugs looked quite nice but I didn’t have the capacity (room) to consider purchasing any.

the road up to it is in a terriable state and th elighting is very poor.
If you go in the winter then its just another rainy town.
Lots off ferrel dogs about pulling bins over in search of food and leaving the place less than desirable. Of which the locals were happy about.
So my advice do not go in winter

The colors of the city , the houses are beautiful. the shopping is great and nobody harasses you. Love the mountains and all the good restaurants. There is a Chinese restaurant there, la petite chengdu, that was really good. Walking up and down many steps is a must, if you visit and not avoidable, if you want to see the town.

Chefchaouen was a wonderful city to explore and it was beautiful! It is an easy space to wander around and explore the hidden nooks. We highly recommend getting a Moroccan Hammam and using it as a base for hiking in the Rif mountains.
This is an amazing little hotel in the middle of the madina. The room was large and clean. Staff were friendly and professional. The hotel sent a porter to the car park just outside of the Medina to meet us and help us with bags and to find the location (and they helped us back at the end of the stay). Breakfast was amazing and probably one of the best we had in Morocco. But the best was the spa. We booked the pool for a private swim and then had Hamman our attendent was friendly and it was a great experience.
This is the best hotel we ever stayed in.
The staff is very welcoming and helpful, they offered us an upgrade as soon as we got there and they kindly refunded us the full amount when we had to cancel our stay due the Morocco flight suspension. They didn't even ask us for a review but we're writing one because they deserve it.
The location is best in Chefchaouen and the rooms are very clean and beautiful.
The lounge area is cozy and has lots of board games to keep you entertained, and the breakfast is great.
Best stay in Morocco. I didn’t want to leave. Hospitality 10/10 hesham, the manager is a fantastic host. He was always there to help with any questions, and super proactive. The room was mindblowing. The most comfortable mattress in Morocco out of 5 hotels. The rooftop has a nice view too. It’s super close to the square (5 min walk) I was so sad to leave. Chefchaouen was my favourite part of the trip and I think Dar Elrio played a huge role on that.
We stayed one night in Chefchaouen and enjoyed the practical layout and facilities of Aparthotel Dar Nowara Chaouen which came with a small kitchenette. Taking breakfast on the lovely patio was wonderful. Nassim was really lovely and responsive to our requests. Everywhere in Chefchaouen was a short walk away. Parking was across the road, next to the mosque for 20 dirhams a day.
The hotel is very close to the Chouen's medina, the breakfast was very good, the room was clean and large and Charaf was unbelievably friendly and hospitable- we were ending an extensive road trip through Marocco in Chefchaouen and expected to find friendly and hospitable people there like everywhere, but Charaf really exceeded our expectations for good.
The tropical oasis of the gardens with the idyllic chill area is superb. The cleanliness of this hotel is the best we have experienced out of everywhere we have travelled in Morocco, this coupled with the incredibly friendly, helpful and kind staff (Yassin) made our stay incredible. I wish we could have stayed longer. Best hotel in Morocco!!!
Highly recommend this Riad. The staff is really friendly and the facility is excellent.
The room was very functional with a great layout for 4 adults.
The roof top terrace has great views and is great to see either sunset or sunrise.
Great breakfast on terrace to start off the day.
Best combination of Riad and hotel.
Best place we’ve stayed at so far, here in Morocco. Dar Chefchaouen has a great location. We really loved the character of the hotel. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The environment was pleasant and welcoming.
Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy.
Everything was really good!!!
The stay was lovely, and I loved the breakfast which was included. The place was clean and the location of the hotel was great and close to everything
Very helpfull and kind staff.
The food at the hotel was the best in town.
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Blue Star.
The service was of the highest possible quality, the administrator was open to all our requests and helped us w/ every issue we have faced. The location is great and easy to find, you can reach every point in several minutes and the hotel has interesting boutique of unique hand made souvenirs.
Location is ok. Its near the square of the medina, close to shops and restaurants. But the hotel is only accessible by foot, with some stairs to climb. Not good if you have a lot of or got heavy luggage. Room is beautiful and clean. Good price. Strong wifi. Great view on the roof terrace.
Staff were very friendly, helped us to deliver our luggage from the parking area (that blocked by road work) to the hotel.
The breakfast were huge and delicious. Room was huge and clean.
Hotel is just minutes walk from the site seeing points and the medina.
Comfy bed, magnificent views from the terrace, good wifi. Oussama and Mokhles were friendly and welcoming. Also the decorations around the hotel were so much fun! It's the best place I stayed in Morocco.
The location was great! The staff were really nice , especially Yasin who helped us a lot with directions , the bathroom that was in moroccon style was really pretty, breakfast was very tasty
A charming hotel with welcoming staff. Lovely homemade breakfast. Location is great in the blue city. Good wifi! Manager coordinated our hike to Akchour waterfalls which was amazing!
Great location, very close to the Medina. Inexpensive parking in front of the hotel. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff when we got stuck trying to find the route to the hotel.
