We only stayed for a night, so we did not explore much. Alingsås is famous for its many cafés. Our hotel, the Grand. indicated a very nice café across from a very pleasant shop, all in a quiet courtyard. The locals were very friendly.Patrick Reis ParisFrance

The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen were well maintained and equipped. Mitte was very accommodating with my later check-in, and even had little candles waiting for me on arrival. Do note that you need to bring your bedlinen and towel, but this can also be prebooked for 100kr/person I believe.
