Herman's rooms is beside the train station where we needed to break our journey. It's friendly and comfortable though we didn't have time to explore the area before our train the next morning.

We stayed in File to ride Lipizon horses at Lipica, and File was convenient and inexpensive. Our hosts were friendly and glad to adapt to our needs. Slope is a bit out of the way so having breakfast and dinner options on site was very useful. And breakfast in was an excellent Germanic spread that filled us up. We rented a triple to have a bit more room for the two of us.

It is a convenient place to stay if you want to visit caves or go to the seaside or even go to Ljubljana. The managers are very nice people. The apartment is clean and quiet.

Really small village, close to nature, hills and very close to the Slovenian Istria (Ankaran beach is only 30min by car, Koper and Piran only about 40min.). The village Suhorje is really quiet, you can relax and take a good walk around, go to the river, etc. You can watch the stars during the night when weather is clear. We loved our stay there. Some really good restos are only 10min by car. Caves and Lipica farm is also very close.
