We spent only a few hours in the hotel (night).
The pool was refreshing in the evening. Lovely helpful staff arranging tuktuk for us for the morning. Pleasant atmosphere. My husband enjoyed their curry.

The breakfast was good and we had a nice view from the terrace over looking the river and Laos. The staff were very friendly and helpful at the reception and in the breakfast area, thank you.

Incredibly friendly couple who run it and were so helpful. Although breakfast is not officially included, there was coffee and tea, toast and jam available in the morning. Nice views over the river. Walking distance to restaurants. Was a good place to stay for one night.

I stayed in a private room with a bathroom and balcony. The bed was so comfortable, the room was well equipped with a mini fridge, kettle and even a safe. The bathroom was clean and the balcony had mosquito protection so it was nice to sit out at night. Excellent value for money, I would definitely stay here again

Picked up at Thai Immigration by owner. Unexpectedly , restaurant standard meal prepared by owners on our arrival for a very reasonable cost.
Our hosts could do nothing more to make our overnight stay a pleasure.
Transportation of our group of four with large luggage items to bus depot was done again as part of our stay after a lovely cooked breakfast.
The rooms as the photos depict, are small but very clean and comfortable.

Easy check in, compact room, communal balcony space to chill in. Great location for mekong river cruise pick up.
I liked to have riverview. We had two single beds that we rearranged such that they were mire close to eachother. Not perfect but ok. For one person the bed was too hard, for the other it was good. Was great to be on the (small) balcony to look at the river, but there were no seats.
I used the pool, but at the time of the day the two high building on the side avoided all sunshine to warm up the water. We also had to use our own towels from the room, one per person.
Checkout was fast without checking the room. Few hours after we left, we were in Chiang Rai already, staff called us that they we left behind a watch. They agreed to send it to our home in Chiang Mai. Great service that we really appreciate.

I was in town for the first annual (I hope) Chiang Khong Music Festival.
The music was excellent and the roads to and from were perfect for motorcycles.
Chiang Khong is a sleepy little town with just enough nightlife to keep it from being boring.
It is right on the Mekong River and there is a "Friendship Bridge" border crossing to Lao (Laos) very close.
If you need to decompress, this is a good place to do it.
Great place to spend the night for Motorcycle enthusiasts.

Nothing much here but it's away from the waterfront at Chiang Saen and Sop Ruap with their Burmese and Chinese casinos across the river. We drove so we were able to get around to some out of the way places downriver and over to Sop Ruap so the ladies could go shopping. All in all a pleasant place to stay especially for us older farangs.
View of the river was outstanding. We were in town mainly to catch the slow boat to Laos, but we scheduled two nights and one full day to experience a small town in Thailand. We are very glad we did. The desk helped us hire a tuk tuk for a half day of sightseeing and craft shopping. That was a highlight! The lady driver was a great guide, even without much English. We also walked a few blocks over to the Main Street and bought ice cream and other things at the 7-Eleven. The food was good in the restaurant.
The location was in a quiet stretch of the town. All within easy walking distance for our needs.
Excellent views across the Mekong river.
Wonderful room and comfy bed.
The hotel did cater well for our vegetarian diet requirements.
Warm and friendly staff. The manager actually had spent a fair number of years in the UK, and by the looks of things : with excellent training.
Wish we had more time to stay here longer but we had the boarder crossing into Laos the next morning.
It’s in a good location with restaurants and stores within walking distance. It’s located in the heart of Chiang Khong city. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had strong water pressure and was hot. Although the staff wasn’t there to greet us when we arrived, we rang the bell as the sign said, and she came right away. She was very helpful and helped us immensely. It was a good value for the money. I would stay here again.
The good reviews this place has received were absolutely correct. Very nice and helpful people and though the bungalow room was probably the smallest I have ever stayed in, it was lovely and perfect for my needs. I always bring a memory foam matrass in my car when I travel around in Thailand because of my bad back, but this time I could leave it in the car because the bed was comfortable as it was.
Great view from the balcony overlooking the river. Very quiet as off the main road, although some noise from the chickens behind the hotel! Owner spoke good English and gave us immigration forms for Laos which saved us a lot of time. Really liked the fact that there was a nice walkway just in front of the hotel which went all along the river without too much traffic (a rarety in Thailand!).
Very clean and comfortable stay. The place is full of green, well looked after and has a huge swimming pool (25m).
The owner is very friendly and looked after our well being all the time. On request you get a delicious dinner and breakfast.
The hotel is a little outside of town but has a quick access to the Mekong boardwalk and from there it is a beautiful walk along the river. A must do!
The Hotel owners are also the managers. Super nice people, very good english, a wealth of local knowledge. All the rooms have the same fabulous view of the Mekong River. Chilling on the balcony, watching the river traffic and sipping a cold Chang or a hot coffee in the morning is what is sooo great. Very short walk to the best restaurant tin town.
Fabulous property with the most amazing hosts! Mai and her family go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. And it was! Large, clean room with an amazing view, delicious food, and everything we needed to explore…or just relax. This was my favorite hotel after 13 weeks in Southeast Asia! Can’t wait to come back!
Room was bright, spacious and clean, with a good bed and well functioning air conditioning. Bathroom was fine, with better than usual counter space around the sink. Front desk staff were cheerful and welcoming. The adjacent 7/11 was very handy. Hotel's location could not be more central, with many places to eat nearby.
Everything was excellent. The room with balcony was exceptional. The staff were all lovely and went above and beyond to make your stay in Chiang Khong as good as it could be. Food was adapted to personal preference, vegetarian, no fish sauce etc. A day trip was organised by the owner to make best use of our time there.
It’s probably the best you’re going to get
in Chiang Khong. A variety of low-price,
simple but delicious food restaurants within
walking distance. They pick you up at the
immigration office for a very reasonable fee.
Nice view only in river view rooms. Bathtub
on the balcony is nice.
They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 11. We got to hotel super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The service was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.
A wonderful waterfront inn, wonderful charming, helpful owner. Great location in a charming small village which felt very friendly and manageable. If I were going to live in Thailand, I just might choose to live in Chaing Khong.
Pass-through village to go to Laos, nevertheless a fantastic stay at this hotel, perfectly located at the Mekong with a stair to the walking street. Very nice breakfast with enough options.
Absolutely amazing host and place for one night. If you go from Laos to Thailand, this guesthouse is for you. It's cheap, you will have 2 transfers and you also have breakfast. Thank you :)
We really loved having a dining room and a living room. There was also a really nice coffee shop across the street. And laundry facility in front of our hotel. Loved it.
Excellent PRICE-PERFORMANCE Ratio, Staff and Reception very friendly and professional, Wifi quickly, Free parking at hotel, beautiful Mekong river view
