Fantastic friendly hostel in a great location. I stayed in the 5 person dorm - rooms were big and clean and the bed very comfy - the bathroom is actually really cool. All the hostel staff are so friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. There's a really high quality pool table as well! Will definitely stay at Tangerine Dream again - thank you :)

Nymph Hideout, hotel in Koh Phangan

Providing garden views and a garden, Nymph Hideout provides accommodation conveniently situated in Koh Phangan, within a short distance of Mushmushon Beach, Son Beach and Haad Yao Beach.

This hotel is still in the construction phase. There are 4 cottages that are complete and cute. They were working on the restaurant which is some distance from the cottages so we were not disturbed at all. There are plans for a pool as well. The hotel is situated on it's own small private beach. The sunsets were glorious! Though there is no restaurant/breakfast facilities on the property, there are two delicious cafes within 5 minutes walking distance. The grounds are private, peaceful, and quiet and they are located on the west side of the island, close to many good restaurants, some cute shops, and fun things to see and do. Comfy beds and bedding. If you watch TV, good selections. Better than I have found even in Bangkok in a 5 Star Hotel. The cottage is new and very clean. Good A/C. The staff was lovely and very accommodating.

I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village.

I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!

A nice little island with not too much tourism.

A nice little island with not too much tourism. The drawback is that there aren't that many touristic facilities, but it makes for a quiet place. The best way to see the island is by scooter, which can be rented at many places.

Koh Phangen has something for everyone.

Koh Phangen has something for everyone. You can come here to relax and get away from people like us or join a big party and be surrounded by lots of people. Just watch out for the Tuk Tuk drivers. They are like cockaroaches. The Tuk Tuk drivers are probably the most scetched people on the island. The food is cheap but stick to the Tong sala Food market and Big C or Makro for food. We noticed when dining outside the Tong Sala food market hit or miss with service and quality. You almost get the feeling that the Thai people dont want you here when you eat outside the tourist areas. Been coming here for 10 years and it seems like things are going down hill for Thailand in the area of customer service and self respect. Its not as magical as it used to be.
