ESTES PARK IS OUR SECOND HOME, it’s beautiful and very peaceful. So much to see and do. Love the roaming elk and deer. Must visit The Stanley Hotel and take a tour. Plenty of restaurants and shopping available. We visit at least twice a year. It would be a dream to live here

My son and I were in Estes Park in February and the weather was sunny, yet cold and quite windy. There was an almost 20 degree Farenheit temperature difference when coming from Denver. The drive from Denver to Estes Park is an awesome experience in itself. From Lyon, you start to drive up on a windy road surrounded by mountains on both sides. It goes from 5000ft to 7500ft. The drive is very beautiful and once you climbed up Rt. 36, you start to descend just a bit and then, you come around a curve and there lays, in a valley, Estes Park with a beautiful lake, surrounded by snow tipped mountains. Estes Park is a small town with a main street, lots of unique stores, a unique looking movie theater, and many restaurants. There is a Safeway and Dollar Tree and I don't think that there are any other grocery stores there. Estes Park is also very close to the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park and the home of the famous "Stanley" Hotel, which was used in the movie "The Shining". We also drove around in the surrounding area and found a few great roads that lead to parks and trails. I have truly enjoyed my 4 day stay in Estes Park and hope to be back soon.

Off-season, a great mountain town next to the Rocky Mountains. Enough stuff to do and keep busy for our trip! Ate at Rock Inn, Casa Colina and Hunters Chop House, all fun places. Getting around was pretty easy off-season, though there's a large parking lot near the entrance of Elkorn street.

the location was prefect for close to downtown. if stream at home bring you streaming accounts with you for whatever you watch. A lot of rod construction going on with our stay but still can get around pretty easy. i liked the coffee maker in cabin. fresh ground beans never had that before
The staff was very friendly, nice & attentive. The room was clean, and amenities were as advertised. It was super close to all the fun in Estes Park, even though it isn't on the main drag. The room had a large fridge and microwave. The property is very pet friendly as well. We stayed in the winter when there was 3 feet of snow on the ground, but it looks like they have a lot of amenities that would be fun in the summer months. Overall, we had a great 2-night stay.
Amazing place. Right on the border of the national park so ideally situated for exploring. Also close enough to enjoy downtown Estes Park while maintaining a rural quiet cabin feel. Made very welcome by friendly staff. Cabin was well equipped with kitchen essentials, plus very comfortable sofa/ seating and bed. I made use of the community hot tub to ease tired legs after a long days hiking.
The whole hotel was a delight the room was well maintained and comfortable and the balcony was large with 4 chairs and a table with room to spare. Room was spotless lovely beds and all the housekeeping staff were very friendly also the breakfast people. The breakfast was 1st class warm food and lots of choices on the continental breakfast nothing was lacking. l
The room is cozy and self contained, but a short staircase leads to the lobby. We loved the built-in fireplace, and the shower/jacuzzi combo was wonderful! The Swiss decor of the hotel and the short walk from Estes Park downtown shops was the original draw, but the room was comfortable and the daily breakfast (and evening snacks!) were very nice touches.
The location is magical, we saw an elk in front of our room , the river is very nice , it is very quiet . Beds are confortable, shower soaps shampoo are great . We were given many towels and even bathrobe. The reception is great and people friendly with very good advice on Estes park restaurants and places to visit .
This place was the best surprise. Amazing views, the hotel is charming, the rooms have kitchenettes, ourselves had a separate bedroom also. The price was unbeatable. We decided to stay another night. The service was wonderful, the staff - so kind and welcoming. I'm only 1 1/2 hours away, but I'll be back.
I like this little lodge a lot! The design is adorable. The room is spacious and comfortable, with all kitchen appliances you need. The view from deck is beautiful and peaceful during the winter season in Colorado. The hot tub is a highlight. Easy access to Estes Park and RMNP.
Great views off the balcony and behind the property. The hot tub was lovely and felt private. Great location to be close to Rocky Mountain National Park entrance and to Estes Park without being in the middle of traffic in town
We stay at the Maxwell every time we visit Estes - it's exceptional value for its location and comfort. It's family run and they're always very pleasant. Just an all around good choice if you're travelling to Estes Park.
Everything was absolutely beautiful!!! We will definitely be back on our visits to Colorado. Best place we ever stayed from warm welcome, immaculate conditions, beautiful scenery and perfect location for everything!!!!
This was a wonderful place to stay in Estes Park. The owners are so friendly and the homemade chocolate chip cookies were the best! I would definitely stay here again.
