It’s a huge inconvenience to try and get food on the other side of the highway, also they just passed a law if you are assaulted and a police office doesn’t see it, nothing happens no one is arrested! They have new stores to shop at that are all understaffed and their sales tax is 10% hotels are 16% there’s nothing for kids to do there, so if your just passing through and need a rest for a night great, but it’s super expensive for such a tiny town! Our hotel was dirty the tv did not work!

Just not enthused with the area.
Just not enthused with the area. Might be for others but was just not a setting for the one who doesn't have transportation due to the lack of reliable transportation options available. Used to places where there's more for everyone to do lots of beautiful sites to visit, plenty of venues to visit for amazing concert, and much more which isn't available here.

Great place for a stopover.
Great place for a stopover. Good food around, but the hotel we stayed in was not good this time. Policy changes to this place (Happy Days Hotel) after so many years of returning to the same motel was extremely disappointing!

It was a very unique hotel.
It was a very unique hotel. We enjoyed all the memorabilia on display throughout the hotel!! Items of Elvis and other talented people from the 50's and 60's. We ate at Angel's Diner across from the hotel parking lot. It was very good and great location! We definitely will come back!
it was clean and well maintained.
Concur with other reviews, the breakfast was very good (except for Sunday). Those reviews were one reason we chose this hotel.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY (11-12 Nov 22): breakfasts were wonderful both Friday and Saturday. Biscuits cooked perfectly, plenty of food available and hot. Food was available and hot the entire time breakfast was scheduled to be served.
SUNDAY (13 Nov 22): not a good breakfast experience.
The location is a bit odd. It is located on the outer edge of McAlester. When you exit to get to the hotel there is not a light at the entry to the site. It is dark, and there is a black mailbox at the edge. I would recommend placing a street light/security light at the turn in entry.
I’ve stayed at all the hotels in Mcalester this one is newly remodeled with nice black out curtains. Comfortable room comfortable bed. Parking lot was lit up good for safety. I’ll be using this hotel from now on for work.
Didn't even stay there..they claim to be pet friendly but when I told them I had a dog they told me I had to pay an additional $25 non refundable deposit therefore making my $43 room $78 + tax 🤔
The room was very clean and was one of the most spacious hotel rooms I’ve ever had. The bed was so comfortable since I prefer a firm mattress for my back. I slept great!
