We enjoyed the character of the building, and the comfortable and spacious room. Checkin went smoothly and our host graciously arranged for a safe place to store our bidycles. It's great value for money and centrally located, right by the water.

A beautiful heritage home with views of the bay, surrounded by a quaint neighborhood where deer roam free. The gardens are tended to perfection. We enjoyed the farmers market and walking only a few blocks to Port Townsend for a movie and dinner. It was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

Nice walkable town with lots of local shops, art galleries, wine bars and plenty of food. Most places close by 5 or 9pm so plan accordingly. There is a nice marina and small theater. Rent a kayak and enjoy the Puget Sound on a nice day.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Port Townsend.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Port Townsend. The people were very friendly. Lots of conveniences nearby. There was even a farmer's market on Saturday. Port Townsend just oozes personality. I'd actually contemplate moving there, if I could.

Christmas visit so nothing was open.
Bedroom and hotel were awful.
The room was tiny and bed covers dirty
We spent $240 for 2 nights in a tiny room and squished in parking place.
We will visit a different town next Christmas.

Totally authentic, not touristy, historical town!
Totally authentic, not touristy, historical town! The people and shops are so lovely. The views are beautiful. A genuine coastal town with friendly, kind town folks. The food was amazing. The people made you feel welcome. The downtown area had so many cool businesses and places to eat. Easily navigated by car or by foot from your hotel. The original brick buildings were works of art as was the city’s integration of its history and pride. Ferry is right there to take to one of the many islands. We stayed Labor Day weekend wishing we had booked linger. We were totally surprised it wasn’t overcrowded or overpriced at all for a holiday. Stayed at the Manresa Castle Hotel which was a treat in old architecture part of t he history of the city. Loved our stay and loved this city!!!!!!!!! Great place to get away from the super busy of your life and just be!

Port Townsend is a wonderful picturesque town and if you like wooden boats, it is high heaven. The town has poor accessibility overall, and the Wooden Boat Festival has very little accommodations for mobility challenged people. The food is excellent, and the scenery is stupendous. We ate at the Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant which is owned by friends. Next time I go to the Wooden Boat Festival, I will sail there and stay on my boat rather than try to stay at a hotel. If you can't walk long distances, it is a real problem.
I grew up in PT so I've never stayed in a hotel there before. I brought my sons for a visit and have always admired the Bishop Hotel. The room was perfect for the 3 of us for a night or even a longer stay. Perfect location in downtown near Water Street. Since they have parking on site we ditched the car and walked to shops, restaurants and the beach
The bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've had in any hotel. The furnishings are perfect to keep with the historical building.
The rooms were very clean, and I really appreciated having daily housekeeping. I thought that the hotel was a great value, and I
liked the location, even though it’s not right in the middle of downtown Port Townsend. It’s a short walk to the main tourist area, but there are many places to eat/drink very close to the hotel as well. Enjoyed the view of the water and having a balcony. The breakfast had a nice variety, and something for everyone.
Great hotel! We liked the Victorian style of the lobby and the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They let us store our bicycles in the locked basement so we did not have to drag them upstairs and keep in our room. The hotel is right in the middle of the historical downtown. Short walking distance to restaurants and shops. The price for the night was very reasonable. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay there again.
The location was perfect. It is within walking distance of downtown Port Townsend.
There was a view of an amazing Victorian home across the street. You can also see the water and the mountains. The bed was super comfortable. The heat worked well. I love the chair for reading. The decor was colorful. The host was very helpful when we needed help with the TV.
Charming old hotel centrally located with an old west feel about it. Rooms have character and are a bit quirky, as is the entire hotel. Our room was spacious, and included a foyer, giving some additional privacy. The decor, too, was a bit quirky and old west. You could imagine the clump of boots and the jangle of spurs in the hall.

We enjoyed the farmers market and walking only a few blocks to Port Townsend for a movie and dinner. It was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.
Location is perfect, walking distance from Coupeville ferry, a good local restaurant along that way and one can also walk into the downtown Port Townsend, which is visible from the Inn's entrance.
They are improving the heating/cooling system, remodeling the rooms, and adding more.
It's a beautiful hotel that makes you feel like you're stepping back in time. I felt like I was living out an episode of Bridgerton lol. I loved all of the stained glass, the sitting areas with vintage couches, the themed rooms and the proximity to the water.
Close to the beach and family friends who live in the Kala Point complex. Close to the very cute downtown Port Townsend area and the Port Townsend winery.
Fort Warden is worth a couple of hours exploration and if the weather is nice, a good place to picnic.
Coffee maker and coffee were provided which was nice. All the appliances and the rest of the unit were beautifully clean.
Location was perfect for us. Midway between Port Townsend downtown and Quilcene on the way to our hiking destinations.
Whatever the site lacked in terms of friendliness of desk staff, awkward layout of room, was more than made up for by location and view. We had a delightful time in Port Townsend and would consider this place for a night's stay again.
The hotel was in a great location, right on the main drag and essentially on the water. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a cute vintage vibe. They provided us with a fan, which was nice because it was hot during the day!
A fantastic period hotel in a wonderfully central location in Port Townsend. Friendly and warm bar/reception. Staff friendly and informative.
Beware no lift if you have heavy bags but a minor inconvenience
The architecture and history of the hotel intrigued me. It was like travelling in time and an experience unto itself. We had a lovely view of the Salish Sea. Got a good nights sleep.
