Great location close to the Kingdom Trail, in a small town with both a breakfast restaurant and lovely dinner place and pub. Very cosy spot. Staff is so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed being able to have a small bonfire by the creek. Facilities are excellent and rooms are comfortable. It’s a perfect place to relax after exploring the area.

Since I have friends in this area I have seen great changes and all for the better for this town. I understand there is a bike path nearby. Culturally there has been big strides. Not only does the town have a long history but a wonderful Academy for learning near its center. Architecture, Museum and galleries are becoming more noticeable as well as restaurants, entertainment and the accessibility of reaching other locations. You have Rte. 2 that comes from Montpelier to Bethel, ME. There is the intersection of I 93 from Boston, MA to here and I 91 from New Haven, CT to the Canadian Border. There are many roads that once served as major arteries and now are scenic roads. Not far from St. Johnsbury on Rte. 2 is Danville. It has a terrific view of the White Mountains there as well as wonderful shops and eateries nestled in its small town. North of St. Johnsbury is Lyndonville which has a college and a thriving off beat community. Your not far from ski areas as well. And then 15 miles east on I 93 is New Hampshire and the towns of Littleton, Franconia, Bethlehem and more for you are coming into the White Mountain State Park. Plenty to hike, hobnob and eat. This is all in reach of St. Johnsbury. I hope you can come up and enjoy the scenery in all seasons. Get to know the people and their interests.

St. Johnsbury is a nice little town, with shopping and amenities within a close driving distance. We were 30 mins from bike trails and hikes in nearby Burke. You can take train rides from downtown to explore the countryside. There are a few microbreweries that are worth checking out. If you have pets there is dog o=mountain, where pets can run free.
There are a few museums worth seeing and also a planetarium.
Interesting town, impressive buildings, churches and university, good for overnight stop.
On the downside: we did not find restaurants or cafes e.g. on a Main Street; no real centre of town! (maybe our fault?)

It’s a charming town, with a lovely Main Street and some nice local businesses. The coffee shop in the old Post Office was cozy and friendly. The natural history museum is a must see, and if you have/like dogs, make sure you make it to Dog Mountain

Hardly anywhere to go to eat.
Hardly anywhere to go to eat. The one restraunt we found was terrible and expensive. The restraunt closes at 8. The whole town gave that feeling as if it all shuts down. It was the weekend so why the school night feeling. Especially for adults. The weather was nice in May here. I can understand the winter being a ghost town but the Spring? We looked it up on the internet of things to do. Not much im our results. Town could use some warm charming add ons. In our hometown we have lamp posts with hanging flower baskets, pretty banners welcoming visitors. Paint is alwaus being touched up and there is a lighted message sign that lists upcoming events and what's going on in the town.

We stayed here the longest and felt like our home away from home. Their complimentary hot & cold breakfast and coffee fuelled us every morning before our drive & hikes. The rooms were significantly large enough to fit 2 queen beds and a sofa bed, which made it easier for us to prepare our hiking outfit & organize our luggages. This hotel was within an hour drive to some of the most beautiful fall foliage hikes in New Hampshire.
Rarely seen such a quiet hotel/room
No noise coming from the street or elsewhere.
Very large, well-appointed and comfortable room with sofa and side table.
Large bathroom.

Shower/hot water; Alright

This was a nice hotel. Spacious clean room. staff was friendly and attentive. A bit out of town but information to restaurants and businesses was readily available. Breakfast was very nice, with several options.
Pool, hot tub, sauna, and game room for kids. We were pleased to find such a nice Pet Friendly hotel that was clean inside and out. If we come back to Vermont we would stay here again.
Yeah. Booking.com charged me $330 plus taxes and I was apart of a wedding group at this hotel and you didn't give me the rate of $185 dollars. I expect a refund of $145 dollars.
Well located, well priced hotel with easy on/easy off highway access - and access to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Hotel was also very quiet despite it's main road location.
There is an obvious intent to upgrade the facilities. The rooms and Lobby were well appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful property behind the hotel.
This hotel was clean quiet and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up The staff was super friendly and helpful Best hotel in two weeks of traveling!
