eKhaya Bush Villa, hotel in Hoedspruit

EKhaya Bush Villa offers accommodation with free WiFi in Hoedspruit, well located 68 km from the Orpen Gate of Kruger National Park.

Everything was exceptional from the friendly, very helpful staff to the comfortable beds and spotless rooms. Built on a Pvt game eco estate well located in Hoedspruit. The game drive was arranged for us and it was a brilliant experience in a privately owned conservation ‘ Pridelands’ attached to Kruger Park. We enjoyed a great game drive and sipped Marula coffees or hot chocolate with our very friendly well versed ranger Jason. All in all a very worthy experience. Breakfast was decent tho I’d recommend not using loads of sunflower oil to prepare our breakfast and condiments were lacking some…but I cannot fault the effort and gracious hospitality.

Situated in Hoedspruit and with Leading Edge Flight School reachable within 26 km, Nyala Safari Lodge features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi...

Our journey through the safari was nothing short of fantastic, beginning with a thrilling encounter with a sleeping lion en route to the lodge. The adventure continued with more lion sightings as we departed. Our guide, Christelle, was the highlight of our trip. Her extensive knowledge and evident passion for wildlife truly enriched our safari, transforming it into a magical adventure. We experienced great extra drives, pursuing the echoes of roaring lions and observing the serene beauty of a lounging leopard. Fortune smiled upon us, allowing us to witness four different leopards, including a surprise visit from one during our sundowner drinks – a moment of sheer amazement especially for Christelle!!. The warmth and hospitality of Dave and Nikki made us feel like a part of the Nyala family. Their exceptional attention to detail in the dining experience, complemented by Shylet's service, elevated our stay. Our heartfelt thanks to the Nyala family for crafting such an unforgettable and unique safari experience.

Hoedspruit is the best town in Greater Kruger.

Hoedspruit is the best town in Greater Kruger. Reasonably priced direct flights from Capetown or Johannesburg. Rental cars at airport. Grocery stores, restaurants and a variety of great places to stay. This is where to start and stock up if you are self driving Kruger. 45 minutes to the Orpen gate and another 45 to Letaba rest camp. Expect to see elephant on the way.

Relatively close to the Kruger Park (animals) and the Drakensberg mountain range (natural sites). The local supermarkets (SPAR and PnP) provide all needs for self catering stays. A range of accommodation and eating places. Parkrun. A waring to be patient of the access roads, if driving in. Tri-axle bulk transporters seem to use every conceivable road, many of which are hilly and not endowed with many safe and legal overtaking opportunities.

The staff are very welcoming and they gave us the best service. The breakfast was to die for. If you want to unwind and let nature speak to you, don't hesitate, book your stay now. I love the privacy and the smell of different trees that sorrounds the Lodge. It was a good experience.

Location was great and facilites were amazing for a property in the bush. The property is situated in a conservation zone where animals roam freely. Definitely a 5 star. When i read the ratings regarding this property, i was a bit skeptical; however, much to my surprise, i was amazed with the full package, great room, great view of the bush, great animal sighting right outside our room, excellent breakfast and last but not least, great hosts.

Louis was an amazing host! he treat us very kindly and help us with anything we needed. He was very open with timetables and ready to help us at any time, also prepared breakfast for us in the hotel or to take away to our safari. The rooms were super cozy and very clean. Views were amazing but you don’t need to look to far as we had zebras walking in front of our room and giraffes drinking from the swimming pool. Completely recommend it!

The biggest purpose of staying at this hotel was the game safari. The game safari experience was amazing. I met several cheetahs and leopards, which are said to be difficult to see. I was able to meet other animals at such a distance that I could actually feel their breathing. Respect and gratitude to the team of drivers and navigators for their professional work in guiding us on our game safari.

As a self catering facility, everything we could need was provided. The linen and towels were incredibly soft and of a high standard. The views were stunning and the whole facility is in an incredibly central location to the main attractions of the area. They manufacture their soaps etc. on site and use locally sourced ingredients, and this is just one of the brilliant added extras on site!

Amazing experience and very exclusive. My family (2 childrens and 2 adults) were very well accommodate and with a 5 start service all the time. The resort caters to only a handful of guests, ensuring an atmosphere of tranquility and exclusivity. We felt as if we had our own private Lodge with an air of serenity that permeated every corner.
