“We arrived after a long journey under rain and fog, Edilson, the owner, was waiting for us to pick us up with his 4x4- which you do need- to get up to the pousada. It is about 15-20 mins by 4x4 on a mountain track which takes you to a peaceful house surrounded by nature and peace. Edilson is brilliant, he makes bread, cheese, butter, and you are free to eat it and use the kitchen for your own meal. We loved the rural location and the view over the mountains. The road takes a bit of work but worth the journey!”
