“This is a brilliant place to stay if you like nature and solitude. The owners are really friendly, breakfast is generous and it is a very sweet place to relax and listen to the sounds of the forest. I really enjoyed relaxing in my hammock watching all the amazing birds, insects and bats fly around my cabin! WiFi is surprisingly strong - I could WhatsApp video fine. Highly recommended! If you travel here by bus/train from Morretes, the pousada is a R$25-30 taxi away. Remember to bring all your food for lunches and dinners (you are given a fridge in your cabin and there is a shared kitchen with stove and oven and BBQ). If you want to explore the rainforest, ask the owner and he offers off-trail rainforest walks from the Graciosa historic trail. It is a brilliant experience - much more exciting and better value than the touristic tours offered in the area! You can learn a lot about about the animals and plants. In Morretes, I ate at Sabor Secreto and enjoyed the various salads and veg offered as part of the buffet.”
