Whereas the wooden floors with no carpeting felt clean, it also felt a bit "cold". I was thankful that my dog was able to travel with us. I will definitely recommend The Clansman and will stay again when I'm in town.”

“Oh, my goodness... Where do I start? Let's start with Jane. What a doll! She was so very welcoming and had lots of time to talk about the area and give us advice on where to go and what to do. She's a fountain of information about the local customs and history. We had breakfast with a very entertaining couple from Wales and the five of us chatted up a storm throughout breakfast (which was wonderful). Sadly, it was a gorgeous day and we had to head out on our travels. But it was terrific fun. Then there's the location. As we were approaching it and I could see on the GPS that it was just up ahead on the right, I couldn't believe the view that we might have. When we entered Jane's house and walked into the dining area, I was a bit stunned. Such an elegant room, perfect table setting and overlooking the bay. It was just staggering. My wife and I stood there taking photos of each other in this magnificent setting. Then Jane showed us our room. Are you kidding me?? All of this is for our use??? We had a beautiful bedroom with our own private climate control system and coffee maker. Adjacent to it was a private sitting room filled with elegant furniture and a working wood stove. This is how the rich and famous travel.”
