“German, the dueno was incredibly helpful and kind. He found me walking from the bus station, introduced himself having come looking for me. I suddenly realized I’d lost my wallet enroute. German hightailed by car to the bus station, asked the operators to contact my bus. No luck retrieving wallet. German took me to town bank to cancel cards. Incredibly helpful, tranquilo and competent. On inquiry he found I was interested in coffee farm tour. He set up a private, relaxed wonderful morning with a local Saliminian farmer. We were accompanied by the farmers heir apparent, 6 year old grandson. Our driver with 4 wheel drive was patient, informative and equally am amable. They so patiently tolerated my rudimentary Spanish. The property’s family were equally kind, friendly and inescapably helpful. Beautiful back deck with spectacular view of Salimina’s dramatic landscape. The shower was typically rural with weak water pressure and lukewarm water. No big deal. If ever I travel to Salimina again, Bonsai’s where I’ll stay.”
