It was SO incredible and restful. Jess and Emilie have been amazing hosts. Available for whatever we needed, they know all about the activities and great places to visit around. “Brand new villas in a forest setting in the lovely little village of Ojochal, only 15km from Uvita. Beautifully designed and decorated by the owners with 1 or 2 beds/baths, well equipped kitchen, huge bathroom with rainfall showers (best of our trip), dining room and fabulous screened sitting room to get the best of the breeze and the wonderful noise of the insects but without the annoyance. Fabulous swimming pool with plenty of chairs/sun beds and umbrellas for shade and dedicated BBQ areas for each of the villas. Although in close proximity to each other, the clever use of planting ensures privacy. The owner Stephan and his wife are very nice and helpful and the villas are literally next door to Plaza Tangara, which has a deli, pharmacy/doctor, craft beer shop, gifts/housewares shop, coffee shop, recommended restaurant etc. There is also a well stocked supermarket and a French cafe/patisserie/bakery within 100m. Ojochal has lots of excellent restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets and we would recommend staying in this area for Marino Ballena National Park rather than Uvita itself, which is more commercialised.”
