“Thank you to the Hibbeler family for their warm welcome. We had a wonderful time in the very clean apartment with everything we needed for a week stay. We had a cute balcony which was perfect for breakfast in the morning sun. We tried the local menu at the nearby restaurant which was great, but mostly we used the apartment kitchen that had everything for easy meals and the supermarket is a few minutes walk away (downhill by the railway station). As part of our stay we were given the Hochschwarzwald Cards which meant we could travel the region for free on the trains & bus. We could also use it for ferry rides and ski lifts which was a great bonus.”

“We loved our stay! The location was perfect- directly next to the highest peak in Schwarz Wald (30min walking), there was nothing else around us, so everything was so quiet and peaceful. The lack of city lights in the evening allows you to see perfectly the night sky (from your balcony or the winter garden/restaurant). The rooms were modern but with a cottage / vintage flair, although for some of the single rooms there is on toilet in the room but this wasn’t a problem since there is couple of toilets in the corridor. The owners of the cottage were extremely friendly and helpful (they knew our names before we checked in). The breakfast was included in the room price and is very rich. Overall we totally recommend this place to everyone who wants a peaceful weekend combined with day hiking trips in the Schwarz Wald.”
