“Everything was fantastic. The location can't be beat; it is absolutely beautiful. It was a nice retreat for us at the end of our busy days hiking or driving around the area. I can't explain how nice it was to sit on our balcony at night and listen to the sounds of the black forest. It was very relaxing, and the staff was incredible. They don't speak much English, but they know enough to get by. As an American, I certainly don't see this as a negative. I'm in their country, and the fact that they made the effort to communicate and were extremely patient when we didn't quite understand speaks volumes of their character. It actually made the experience seem all the more authentic. Highly recommend this place for anyone. Also, its right near several hiking trails. There were some mornings we'd just walk out the door after breakfast (which was delicious by the way) and just go on a hike. So great!”

“It was so peaceful at night, you could sleep with the window open. Made for a great night's sleep. Traveling on a motorcycle, there was a space for it in a garage for the night. With the bar and restaurant on location, it was nice not to have to gear back up to go and eat somewhere else. Dinner was excellent, as was breakfast. With a very good selection. And there is a nice terrace too for those long spring and longer summer evenings.”
