The kitchen was ridiculously well stocked with dozen wine glasses (white, red, champagne), cups, plates -- and the usual dull knives. In the high season, I'm sure the main street in Ahrenshoop is clogged with traffic, so you'll appreciate this location just south of the village center. The breakfast is great, but be aware that it's not really a buffet. A plate of various cheeses and meat are on your table, with a bread basket, butter, coffee. The hosts will take your egg order (excellent soft-boiled egg, by the way). You can also get cereals, yogurt, and juices as a small counter.”

“The location was very good, in an interesting town and central to the beach, restaurants and to public transport. The shade offered by umbrellas and parasols ensured that we were sheltered from the heatwave in Berlin we were escaping from.
