“Everything was just simply amazing! From the friendliness of the staff to the extra cleanliness of the room and facilities to the amazing view! We had a really nice time there! Excellent place to relax from the hectic environment of the crowded city. The lack of a stable internet connection and phone signal may be considered as a plus if you really want to detach yourself from the real world. The breakfast was excellent made all from local products of the area of Schwarzwald. The spa and pool facilities are all premium quality actually (2 different kinds of steam rooms, one very large moroccan bath, one outdoor and one indoor pool, one extra cozy sauna room for two people, and massage facilities) and the small number of guests coming out of season make it ideal for a romantic getaway because the entire hotel feels like it is privately booked for you! The hotel deserves 5 stars actually instead of 4. The extra plus is also the great location which allows you to hike in breathtaking views (sunny AND snowy forests) I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a great vacation for a great price!”

“The location was excelled for what we wanted. Although there was not enough snow in the towns, but Gerda had plenty of it. My kids were sledging from the hills, just at the back of the house. There is everything you need and more...dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, microwave and so on. Absolutely loved it!”
