“Wonderfully remote yet reassuringly close to a town with 2 small supermarkets and a number of eateries. Close to main road but well away from the traffic. Great view in the morning and fantastic sunsets. No problem too small, no attention to detail too great. For a cave that's above the highest village on the island that's in the mid-Atlantic there's a surprising homeliness to the place. We'd recommend this place to friends and family. With a semi-detatached cave and shared (small) pool with BBQs there's scope for a bigger family/friends holiday. (We hired a car from Autoreisen which was a similarly good idea.)”

“Artenara wonderful.Great hotel environment.Located hotel in the cave.Authentic, original, artistic environment. Inside there are all necessary kitchen utensils.Also tea, coffee.Nice decorated bedding (with a sweet surprise :) ) ... Nearby is a very interesting museum of ethnography.And on the mountain we discovered 1783 year Church - also in the cave.Wonderful chapel that has not yet been seen.Inside soaked live flowers... We've only been here for a 1 day, which is very little,but in Artenara should stay at least 5 days to see the beauty of nature, visit the rocks... Very Thanks,Muchas Gracias :)”
