“Our overnight in Lalin was part of our Camino Sanabrés to Santiago de Compostela, and we were happy with our decision to make the detour. We were picked up by the (delightful!) proprietor at Estacion de Lalin, and brought to the hostal, where we were shown to simple, but clean and comfortable rooms. Despite the language barrier, we were well-informed about the neighbourhood (a short walk from the centre), and the food options (restaurants didn't open till late. We ate at the bar downstairs, but in retrospect would have grocery-shopped and used the very well-equipped kitchen downstairs.) She drove us back to the Way the next morning, and left us with a smile and words of encouragement. A positive experience indeed!”
