The housekeeping staff work very hard to maintain the high standard of comfort and cleanliness. Any requests were attended to promptly and without question. All the bungalows have a private terrace with two sunbeds and a table and four chairs. There is a good level of kitchen equipment, with washing up liquid and sponge/scourer and small tea towels provided. Shower gel and two bath towels/two hand towels are provided in the bathrooms. The grounds and pool areas are very well looked after and very tidy. The bungalows are very conveniently located, both for shopping for everyday items, and eating, with a small shopping complex a short walk away, and is also directly on a bus route should you wish to go into Playa Blanca town. It's a lovely walk into the Marina and good value taxis are readily available if you've over-indulged at dinner and can't face the walk back!”

Property was well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The pool was great for dips and there was 6 sun loungers & towels provided. The barbeque is a portable charcoal type and was big enough to cook for 5. Walk in shower is in the main bathroom and there is good water pressure. PLenty of hot water. The TV has a hdmi port and the wi-fi was close so I was able to use a tv streaming stick that I brought with me to keep the kids out of the midday sun. Shops nearby for groceries. SuperDino is good value. Overseas/Marks & Spencer shop (I think) was pricey. Papagayo beach is a 15 minutes walk over a headland. Or you can drive around and there is an entry fee to the car park of €3. Playa Blanca strip is about a 30 minute walk. There is a market in the Marina on Wednesdays and Saturdays and about a 15 minute walk. The Marina has nice little cafés and ice cream stands. Food can be hit and miss there though. Check the reviews I guess”

A car is handy but not essential. It wasn’t that clear from the listing: there is a large main bedroom with en suite and huge bathtub (and separate shower) with views over the sea. There are 2 further upstairs bedrooms, one of which has access to the sun terrace and sea views. These 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. The final bedroom is downstairs with another bathroom. The views from the two front upstairs bedrooms are incredible! And the villa is just next to the local volcano which is a lovely walk.”

“We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 young children. We spent 11 nights here over Christmas 2019. With this place location and views are everything, it was in a perfect position. A few areas of the apartment could probably do with a little attention but we absolutely loved it and would return without hesitation. My only suggestion would be perhaps a small visitors information book, with useful things such as where to take rubbish (we messaged Carmen who was lovely and she let us know) and WiFi passwords in one place maybe. Overall we loved it though and cannot imagine staying anywhere else now in Playa Blanca.”

The villa also came with air con in front two bedrooms at no additional cost so we couldn’t have asked for more . For us the outside was the real winner, with 8 sunbeds and a heated pool, we spent the majority of each day there, with shaded area for eating . If I could make any suggestion it would be perhaps the addition of some more outdoor chairs, but that’s only a minor thing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back sometime in future”

“We've just returned from a fantastic week at the villa. It looks exactly as the photos show and is spotlessly clean. Very modern with everything you could possibly need. The beds are so comfy and the showers are amazing. The location is peaceful and walking distance to the centre of the resort. The pool was lovely but a bit cold. We'd have happily paid for it to be heated. There's plenty of outside seating and the garden is huge. Tip..... To get into town walk around the tennis court and go out through the gate (keys provided) stay to the left and follow the white wall around (gravel path) to the main path. Walk through the car park and the resort is across the road. This took 5-10 mins max. If you walk all the way around the other way it will add 25 mins. Flamingo beach is a 5 min walk. The resort is full of restaurants and shops and it's a lovely walk to the marina rubicon. We'd definitely recommend this villa and hope to stay again.”

“As everywhere in Lanzarote, it’s difficult to get if you don’t have a car. We did, so it wasn’t a problem for us at all. There is a lot of space on the street to leave the car. The neighborhood looks new and is super quiet - no cars, no parties, no bars, no karaoke. The apartment is a ground floor of the owners’ house, they live upstairs, very friendly Italian family. The apartment seems new and spotlessly clean. We had everything necessary - pans, plates, kitchen towels and even some products left by previous visitors (pasta, coffee, spices, thanks guys) The water in the pool heats up to maybe 30 degrees, and it was helpful on those really windy days when you get blown off the beach The nearest beach is really close, but since we had a car we moved and tried beaches all over the island There is a small supermarket and several restaurants in about 10-15 min walk. Bigger supermarket is in Playa Blanca and you have to use transport to get there A kitty came several times a day to check if we were ok :)”

Although there was a couple of things that can be improved I would definitely recommend a stay at villa kalima. Will definitely visit again in the near future.”

“Comfortable and homely with a few dishwasher tablets and wash tablets supplied to get you started. There is also some toilet roll, washing up liquid and hand soap, which is always a help when you first arrive. There are also beach towels in addition to the bath towels, which is a help if you’re travelling with hand luggage only! The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee machine, which was an added bonus. There is a few shopping bags a cool bag and ice pack in the kitchen cupboards as well. There is plenty of outside space for sunbathing and soft cushions for the sun beds. We only used the pool once, but it is a comfortable temperature we just didn’t feel the need to use it any more. There is a lovely flow of wind on the terrace, which makes it an ideal area to enjoy the sun. A bit more sun on the terrace would’ve been nice early morning, but it wasn’t anything to worry about , as the sun had come over by 10.30am and we stayed out on the sun beds until 7 or 8pm.There is a comfortable dining table on the terrace and another table and 2 chairs on the balcony as well as a dining table for 4 inside. We didn’t feel the need to stay indoors, but if the weather hadn’t been so good there is a tv, there is also a large supply of books, so you wouldn’t need to take a supply of reading material with you. Restaurants are only 5 minutes walk away at the marina, but we also went to our favourite restaurants in Playa Blanca town, as we had a hire car and also hired bikes for a few days. Thank you Marylise and Bernard for such a lovely stay in your villa and we hope to come back next year.”

We even braved the small pool in November (cold ..but ok after a few minutes) Davide was great with texts & came & cleaned the pool after the 1st couple of days as it’s had been extremely windy & the pool had a lot of sand in it. He was very friendly. A supermarket right across the road which was fantastic & another one 3 minutes away. The WiFi was perfect also. Loved the balcony off the bedroom also for morning coffee. Will definitely return.”
