“Driving through a rather scruffy Villarobledo I was not looking forward to finding my overnight accommodation at all. But what a lovely surprise it was to turn the corner and see Plaza Ramon y Cajal with its huge church, lovely two-storey arcaded ajuntamiento and selection of bars and restaurants. I parked my car in the Plaza underground public car park and walked to the hotel. I booked in and walked my case and bags from the car and via the small lift into my room on the third floor which was very comfortable with a terrace looking onto the side street. There is an exterior terrace with tables and chairs on the third floor with a magnificent view over the Plaza. The hotel has a smart, rather formal, ground floor bar and exterior terrace with excellent service which I was told served snacks and where I had my coffee and croissant the next morning. I was not able to have dinner there (not sure whether there is actually a restaurant or whether it was just closed) so I had a lovely meal in a restaurant in the plaza. With the hotel’s discount, parking under the plaza was just 6€ (it is not private parking as was indicated in the Booking.com description). I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay here and would certainly recommend the hotel to others.”
