“Really charming little Chalet on outskirts of Blaye, which was in walking distance of the citadel a definite for a visit, even if just for a beer. The hosts were really welcoming and the evening meal and breakfast excellent. I was really impressed that they will lone you cycles if staying for longer to travel about and explore the area. We were only staying for one night but would stay for longer”

“This quaint independent studio apartment is equipped with everything you need and is decorated nicely. It is conveniently located in an historic part of this pretty and historic town. There seemed to be plenty of on street parking outside the property and the host arrived within a couple of minutes of our arrival to show us the apartment and provide us with breakfast for the next morning. The host gave us a good recommendation for dinner at the "La Marina" just round the corner where we had an excellent meal. The little café/wine shop at the end of the street, is also well worth a visit!”

“We stayed here during a 12-day cycling trip. Auberge du Porche is conveniently located near the clearly marked bike trails and close to the Blaye-Lamarque ferry. The host provided a very warm welcome and was attentive to our needs throughout our stay. She offered the choice of two different rooms - it is always nice to be offered a choice. The room we chose was large and clean, and had a beautiful bathroom with a shower. The kitchen was closed when we arrived, but the host prepared a hearty charcuterie plate at our request. Secure storage was available for our bikes, which is a must when touring. The breakfast was excellent.”
