“Mature couple- we booked this golden place as a one night stay whilst on our motorbike tour earlier this month. The bike was secure and undercover, the bed was huge- the suite we were shown to was just fabulous (spacious and had a wet room, oriental theme- can't recall the room number!) We'd brought a room picnic. The girl on reception couldn't do enough for us- chilled the wine (though there was a room fridge), provided plates, cutlery, wine glasses. We were even invited to eat on the beautifully lit courtyard if we'd wanted! We declined as the room was so nice! There was a billiard table near the spa bath and sauna room. The tastefully decked-out 'lounge' entered from the courtyard, had cds, interesting chairs and reading material, as well as a big tv. So inviting. Just a real gem, well-priced at the time we visited. Back to the bed- it was soooo wide and comfy! Tv in both areas. Didn't venture into the town until early afternoon after checking out, when there was a market (Wednesday?). Were able to leave the bike there in the garage. Lots of bars/cafes. Highly recommended for a bit of luxury, very welcoming accommodation.”

Staff very friendly - noted someone complained that staff only French speaking - of course- you are in the heart of France-- not a valid complaint. Paris yes - Bourg - no. These staff will be on minimum wage and can't be expected to be multi-lingual.”
