“This is an unpretentious hotel in a useful but not beautiful place on the outskirts of Chaumont. The rooms all appear to have been upgraded and we were usefully offered a fan as we were then on a night when the temperatures were in the mid-30s. But the treasure is the cooking in the restaurant. Don't bother going into Chaumont - eat there. The quiche with Langres cheese is worth having on its own - multiple times.”
